Gutted about this, live the music at the Dale and it kind of gives us a real identity. There will always be those that complain about it but I think most people under 45 enjoy it, certainly those I have spoken with. Guess we will have to put up with standard Radio 1 rubbish now!
I hope the club take the DJ recruitment seriously, even better, hope Dave Sweetmore can recommend. |  |

Hopefully they'll mix the music up a bit and not have the same songs every week. Fair enough have the same genre if you want but it's literally the same song by the same artists every week.

I get the volume issue, I really do. The music in the Pearl Street is far too loud. I’ve noticed it more this season, for some reason. I find trying to have a conversation akin to being in a nightclub.
That said, and it’s personal preference, I really like the music Dave Sweetmore plays. Factory Records, Madchester-era music is my thing. I totally get it that it isn’t everybody’s, though.
So, while I can happily be self-indulgent (save the volume level), I appreciate that a bit more variety will have more of a chance of hitting the mark. |  |

The crucial point that someone made earlier is that it is intended to be BACKGROUND music.
It isn't the choice or genre of his music that irritates per se, (though it is repetitive) it is the ridiculously loud volume.
Match days should provide opportunities for people to have a chat and openly discuss whatever goes on. That's impossible at the moment and it's ridiculous that we have to shout, just to get the person in the next seat, to be able to hear. | |

I thought the volume being too loud in some areas was down to a poor sound system rather than Sweetmore. I personally will miss the character and uniqueness Sweetmore's music gives us. Thinking of the Dale matchday experience in years to come and I bet various fans will say ' what about their great/shite music!' |  | | |
