Well, he clearly has a grudge with Ryan Fraser.
But every Boscombe fan would have taken Howe’s side in that matter.
Fraser will get pelters at Boscombe away if he is playing for us.
There seems to be an anti-Howe undercurrent on this forum which I have never understood.
We would not have been relegated if we had got him when he was available and Hassenhutl was beginning to lose the plot. |

If Mara has tried his best, then:-
1. Lordy Lordy, I would hate to see him if he was taking it easy
2. Bordeaux must have been beside themselves with glee at the fee we paid them
Broja isn't a cult hero.
He is just better than anybody else we have had either during his time at the club or since.
If he was really just chasing the money, I would suggest he wouldn't have had loan spells at Vitesse Arnhem, Saints or Fulham, and he would have just stayed at Chelsea.
I note that Cup goals still do not count, even if they included an utterly brilliant goal against a strong West Ham team. |

They appear to be both today.
To my mind, if you have somebody like Onuachu, you have to play to his strengths. We failed to do this under the utterly clueless Selles.
I think we do play to Mara's strengths (if that isn't a contradiction in terms) in that we have not been particularly direct while he has been at the club.
This should suit him, as he certainly isn't suited to a more direct style of play.
However, he simply just isn't good enough to benefit from this.
If a team in Turkey, giants or not, wanted both Onuachu and Mara, I would drive them both to the airport and wish them merrily on their way. [Post edited 11 Jun 15:14]

You may have heard his interview with Fonte this week. He still seems to retain a lot of affection for the club. |

TBH I don’t think Ted Bates would have been much less complicit.
I remember seeing an interview with Merrington a couple of years ago, who was aware of what was going on, but was leant on from up above not to pursue it.
Bates was a name I am sure he mentioned as part of those discussions. |

A promoted club is simply not going to be signing England international players in their peak years.
It will be a mix of the following:-
- Championship players
- Players from overseas Leagues
- One or two experienced Prem players who are past their best
The key is to get the right blend and to still retain the team ethic we had in the Championship.
I really don’t see us signing that many players. Five or six tops. |
