I am using the written word and spoken word by the Manager of Swansea city Michael Duff. Rumours and others opinions are discounted.
Duff stated the club were looking at him the "the club" would make a decision. This does not correlate with Keith's comment. This may be the 'word' in the corridors of power.
If he was getting experience why did Mr Wright say nothing about him given his performances.? He could have been an insufferable big head of course.
I am raising this case as an example of some pretty poor work by the club in regard to Al Hamadi, Whittaker, Obafemi and Gyorkeres.
Fans should be sick of hearing how great Cullen trains. Combining this with the OP is there a cultural problem in the club.?
I like to squash myths and this is one of them. Often repeated myths need to be called out.
"He was only here for the experience he was never going to come here full time."
This is simply not true. He was on trial and failed the trial. Another potentially good striker shown the door. 17 goals in about the same number of game, and he was sensational.
Did somebody not want him at the club because he was sent by Levien? Was he "too good" for us.? I do not recall Mr Wright saying anything good about him. This signing and his treatment was very strange.
The professional I was referring to was Duff. The manager.
It seems to me he will benefit from the work of Pochettino. He seemed to have picked up a youthful dysfunctional bunch and turned them gradually into a more competitive unit.
Arsenal have released 22 players from their squad and academy players. This should interest Watson and the team. James Sweet is a Welsh u19 player and Okinowko was the keeper that starred for Wrexham.
The 22 however do include female players.
While the UK government is struggling with gender definition the UK football press is going the other way with a single "footballer" definition. Sabrina who has been released could be a bloke with a girl's name of course. I wish him or her the best.
Swansea do not seem to like strikers found for them by the recruitment teams. I have read that Yates does not suit Williams s style of play. This sounds a little dubious to me. Gyorkeres did not suit Coopers style. Whittaker did not suit Martins style, Fletcher did not impress Duff and Yates and Myko do not suit Williams.
Lowe suited Cooper and Williams but not Martin. Cullen who is frankly not very good but was rated by everyone. Not so much that they will give him a contract.
Perhaps with Cullen his modest assets fitted in will all managers and just about did enough.
Just enough is not " best in class in all that we do".
Vital to me I use it regularly. Getting to Bristol is a slog. Wales needs it as a status symbol which is why the Unionist flag wavers detest it. It is losing money so they must work harder to make a profit. Unionists want Wales to be totally dependent on the Westminster Government.
The Osprey have no money. The millions needed to renovate will not come from them. Glamorgan got the rate payers to fund Sophia Gardens and the £4m was written off. They have the benefit in hotels and hospitality perhaps.
They are sustainable in Landore. Plenty of space and hospitality boxes and ample parking. The cost of the Swansea.com are shared by the Ospreys and Swansea city. It benefits both.
If Inter and AC Milan can share then so can the Ospreys.
Swnsea.com is not a football stadium it is a football / Rugby stadium. If anything is a vanity project it is St Helens.
Swansea council should spend it's money on thing the city needs not things that are already service more than adequately.
Swansea went to Notts County to get Williams and asked permission. Notts County gave permission and offered Williams a deal which he accepted. Williams had a contract with Notts County and Swansea paid the get out clause for him. Southampton wanted Martin and seemingly agreed to employ him before the end of the season.
Possibly Martin told them to delay as to do the deal after the end of the season would be cheaper for Southampton. SFC then paid up MARTIN s contract with Swansea for the reduced amount after they delayed the signature a week or two.
If Martin was not involved he might be angry SFC did not pay the full amount as it is him being taken to court not Southampton. If is nothing to do with Southampton in that sense. They have paid only part of Martins bill according to Swansea. If Swansea win SFC will no doubt offer to pick up the tab. If SFC were mid table they would not perhaps.
It could be a matter of verbal agreements. Did Southampton agree a deal verbally or with an email to pay Martins release clause before the season ended? If they did then they must pay.
Who is responsible is always an issue for clubs. Conventionally the manager is responsible for signings except when you manage Chelsea.
Allen was head of the academy at the time and it was he that stated the local player were not up to scratch. These players were brought in on "his watch". The list of superstars " not rated " in Swansea is a growing list. Cullen is rated but declines easy headers.
Some doubt as to if he is eligible. Born in England schooled in England. Earnie was half Zambian to an English father and Zambian mother but was schooled in Wales. Does this carry over .?
Reading the Jack Army page fans do not understand that the compensation is due from the manager not the buying club. It is my understanding that conventionally the buying club volunteers to cover the costs.
It is the manger that wants to escape from HIS contract. In this case Southampton have only volunteered to pay a proportion of the agreement after perhaps Martin showed them his contract.
Personally I have not watched a complete one of these for quite some time. This year with no British interest I am even less likely to pop down the boozer to watch it.
2018 was the last with Bale scoring two v Liverpool. I watched Real v Athletico with Bale in his prime.
