Leeds fans' fail to warm to a second Somma?
at 01:30:12

He did really well as a League 1 striker so he will complement Smith, who was playing for Oldham reserves when we bought him. Who knows we might be able to give Bradford a game, assuming they don't get promoted this season.

Has pre-season optimism finally hit the Wal?
at 20:48:59

Automatic places out of reach. Remaining 3 places contested by teams with much stronger squads.Leicester, Forest, Bolton, Reading, Watford ahead of
Leeds. Eg Watford have signed 8 players. Leeds may be in a group that includes Bham Blackburn, Brighton if we make 2 or 3 signings. We finished the season as a mid-table team and we haven't yet made enough of the right signings to change that. We have a second rate strike force and and a dodgy defence. Without width and pace we will be easy to play against. Without more signings bottom half of the table beckons.

Reffing Hell for Warnock as Leeds tumble to league leaders
at 01:04:12

We may be only 6 points off the playoffs but poor goal diff means it is really 7. Realistically there's only 1 playoff place still available to be fought over by 9 teams. More than that If Leeds do not beat Middlesborough it's season over. We would be too far behind and running out of games and nothing to play for. The transfer window has given us a new fullback and a swap of strikers. Habidou is going to be another Grella/Rogers/Nunez. Warnock always said he needed 3 signings at the start of the season. Improvement has come too late

Victorious Hull get smarmy...we're stuck with Luke Varney
at 11:25:23

At least White won't be available so that's a bonus. Tate had.a terrible game and you have to hope that even at this late stage Warnock will pull out of that loan deal and sign another centre back. Difficult to see Varney having any future. Warnock seems confident of bringing in two good players so lets hope that inspires the underpwrformers in the squad. Midfielder, centre back, striker and left back needed

Hull Preview - Warnock drops Somma hint but what of the case for the defence?
at 00:44:58

Warnock confirms he cannot compete financially with Leicester as he loses out to them over signing of Chris Wood from WBA. He hopes to tie up his loan signings . So its goodbye promotion bellow midtable obscurity as I return to not spending a cent inside Elland Road or anything.connected with the iClub except the season ticket.

Warnock to suceed O'Driscoll?
at 09:58:14

Realistic possibilities for manager - Current prem.boss: Martinez, Ex prem boss: Hughes, Di Matteo, Current Champ boss: Darren Ferguson, Warnock. Given the choice I would go for Martinez if I could get him.

1-6 to the Referee? Gung ho to Watford woe
at 12:02:35

Can't blame.Warnock. He went down at least trying to win the game. If we had top class strikers we might have had a 2 goal lead. However, blaming the referee is pathetic. Watford were a far superior.team and they will rise up the table. In contrast, any team that has Lees and White in key positions in it - both League 1 players - and the worst strikeforce in the Division is going to finish in the bottom 8 clubs.

Saint Snoddy or Snake-in-the-grass? Martyr or Mercenary?

With all the recent transfwer activity Snodgrass no doubt felt he was too young to play for Leeds given that he is under 30

So who do the fans really want? Fans warming to Warnock?
at 23:59:57

Bates said some time ago words to the effect that Poyet would never manage Leeds. No love lost between them. Warnock is a good championship manager but a useless premiership manager. At QPR he did have a fair bit of money to spend last season. Leeds need a quick impact manager who should be offered a large bonus for getting us promoted and then a proper longer term appointment made in the summer depending on which division we are in. I would rather have a manager who is ambitious and, for whom, failure would hurt. Someone who has demonstrated succes at working with limited playing resoources. Keith Hill and Dougie Freedman are in that kind of mould. For example, Hill has done a fantastic job at getting the best out of Vas Te. The problem with appointing a manager who has their future behind them is that failure might just mean an opportunity for them to tend the roses. Venables and Reid were examples of people with reputations who were mediocre managers at the time Leeds appointed them. Final point about Grayson. His explanation for the defeat was that Zigic was an experienced player and our back four were just young lads learning the game just shows how clueless he was. It isn't the age that is important it is the quality of the players and their organisation and motivation from the manager and coaching staff. The defenders didn't have a clue and managed to make Zigic look like Benzema. It was ahocking performance from the manager and deserved the sack.

Will Bates' and Grayson survive the "winter wobble"?
at 21:54:44

Grayson's last chance will be at home to Burnley - Anything less than a win and he will be toast. Given his track record why would any Chairman want to give him money to spend when, demonstrably, he is not up to the job - All of Leeds' problems - particularly an inadequate defence, the lack of creativity and the lack of motivation have been in evidence for a year at least. The rumour is that Di Matteo will be the next manager
