I think some established regulars like Kane need game time minutes. |

I just read it's an ankle injury on Sky and other places. Nothing about how long he is likely to out other than for the tournament. Clarke saying he's irreplaceable! |
| Forum Reply | Begovic - Best QPR Goalie in Years at 12:43 1 Jun 2024
I thought Begovic was Ok and is under rated by many on here. Walsh looked good in that Coventry game, which isn't enough to judge him on but he looked promising at least. If we cannot afford better perhaps going with Walsh with Begovic mentoring him and as back-up could work, if Begovic is a good Coach and we can't afford to bring in better. |

Maybe "we both" is Nourry and Marti? If I remember right SDM was in the 1st team squad at the start of the season. |

Good luck Aaron! |

Yes and I guess it's possible Countries that have been "dark market" may not be next season. With Sky pushing out the EFL they may start showing Championship games. It's been a good deal for me because I spend about half my time in Thailand which has been a "dark market", the other half in Norway where they have been showing most of our TV games on the box. |
| Forum Reply | Opening day of the season at 10:44 9 May 2024
QPR+ may continue. It's been a good deal for me to pay the annual subscription, but probably not so good in the future if as it sounds Championship games are played at the same time on Sky. If the Country I'm in has an International agreement to show the games then it won't be shown there live on QPR+, but likely only one game of those played at the same time will be on live TV, which leaves you looking for a working dodgy stream having already paid QPR +, if that game is not the R's. |

I'm still unsure about EDB. I think he gave the ball away the first 3 times he got it in the Coventry game but then did well in advance of Chair's goal, which roughly reflect his earlier performance this season. |

Good luck Ozzie! Thanks for great efforts with us. |

That was a very promising debut. Based on that 1 game, all to little I know, and the bits from Devopment games I've seen of Salamon (sp.?), it looks like we have some good young Keepers at the Club. |
| Forum Reply | Chris Willock at 11:21 5 May 2024
I've read that Willock has only scored 1 goal in 18 months before. According to the Official and other sources he's scored 4 goals this season, 3 games in a row Stoke, Preston and Hull, plus Rotherham, and is credited with 4 assists. |
| Forum Reply | Clarke-Salter at 10:29 5 May 2024
I think all this is dependent on where we are financially / FFP wise for next season, and where we are in the Championship table. We've ended up safe but not by much, so we need to be very careful not to reduce the quality of the squad by for example replacing our better players like JCS, with Fox who is solid but not going to get much quicker at his age, and with FFP well in mind. Astute signings and sales will be needed. I think Armstrong has improved considerably this season myself, both in his hold up play and otherwise, obviously he's got a way to go but he's still a young player. |

Agree about Andersen Nix, but dont think it's meaningful to compare goal assists from attacking midfielders like him, Chair and Willock with assists from more defensive midfielders like Dozzell, Hayden, Colback etc. |
| Forum Reply | Andre Dozzell at 11:00 1 May 2024
Don't think that's correct. My recollection is that many Ipswich supporters rated Dozzell, others did not. |
| Forum Reply | Andre Dozzell at 12:10 30 Apr 2024
Dozzell is a good quick, accurate passer of the ball, ideal for how Marti wants us to play the game passing out from the back with a 3 man midfield. Since he went we have rarely done that and then when Colback has played. Playing out from the back has become a pragmatic long ball out to Dunne wide after Begovic, JCS and Cook have passed it along the back line 2 or 3 times. I think he's a decent player, clearly Mowbray a good Manager thinks the same, even though so many don't. He scored our goal of the season for me too. |
| Forum Reply | The LFW Confession Box at 11:42 30 Apr 2024
Our wins at Cardiff and Boro together with some decent performances inbetween gave me some hope, but that pretty much went during the following games under Gareth, particularly Blackburn home. I only got that hope back when Marti came in and we got a point at Rotherham. I have always had some confidence in our regular players, just felt the squad was too thin. Although there was the occasional bad game since Marti came in usually in the middle or at the end of a 3 match week, our key players stayed mostly fit and we continually improved, so I always retained the hope we'd stay up despite the few setbacks along the way. |
| Forum Reply | Ilias Chair at 15:19 29 Apr 2024
I think Chair is playing well when we are playing well like on Friday night when I also thought he was MOM, just a shade ahead of a number of others JCS, Cook, Field, Colback, Andersen and Willock. When we are not playing well then often I think Chair is not so good because then he tends to hold onto the ball too much, ignores players in better positions and makes bad decisions. The team has performed better since Marti came in and Chair has too, he's more willing to use his left foot to go round defenders and cross, and his dead ball delivery has improved since Andersen became 1st choice on them. |
| Forum Reply | Next season - 4 key players for us to keep at 16:54 24 Apr 2024
From afar looking only at screens it looks to me like Willock still has the technical ability he had when scoring brilliant goals under Warburton before his bad injury, but has lost a bit of pace over that key few feet it takes to get round decent defenders in an around the penalty area. He isn't getting as many goals as you say, but also not so many shots on goal. Looks like he has lost a bit of physical strength from when he was at his best as well to me. |
| Forum Reply | We are not safe!!! at 08:05 23 Apr 2024
Nobody knows and it's just my bad gut feeling. Based a bit on us having to play 2 good teams with Leeds needing a win to get automatic promotion and Birmingham having it in them somewhere to be a good team - they were 6th in October when they made the bananas decision to fire Eustace and appoint Rooney. |
