| Forum Thread | QPR in the 1950s at 08:10 28 Feb 2024
Was reading a book about 1950s recently got me thinking not much about football then beyond Munich and the odd player. I wondered about QPR then, anyone from the era got memories etc. So long ago but I think are most capped player was from 50s |

Must be desperate to ply this weekend, the bonuses he'll get for scoring probably clear half of Becky's Wagatha debts |

Anyone going to a game,? I am going to see Dorking play Maidenhead - never been there before but wasy enough journey by train. £16.00 entry was slightly more than I'd figured but I guess costs is costs. |
| Forum Thread | Whats your opinion at 16:56 22 Jan 2023
There was an article by Jonathan Northcroft in Sunday Times today about Erik Ten Hag and the changes at Man United since his arrival ( and some before). However one bit I found interesting essentially the article was praising him and all about his standards etc. ONe bit harred for me. A B team player came to collect some boots he'd lent an first teamer - now ETH was there and screamed at him to "get out you need to earn the right to come in here. Now JN's piece seemed to approve this as evidence of what makes him a brilliant t manager - and I am sure a lot does. Personally however I thought it made ETH look a pr`ck in this instance and somehow JN used it as a form of praise. I don't like ETH personally but then I wouldn't given my ABU like tendencies. Nevertheless I thought it interesting bit and wondered what others thought. Doesn't make for approachable management I wouldn't have thought. After all if he was so organised why did a player not have his own boots? |

| Forum Thread | Energy and money saving ideas at 11:55 27 Aug 2022
Seperate to Hayesenders thread how about a positive thread in terms of trying to find ways to save money and enerygy costs etc going forward to try and otherwise keep going as closely as possible to how one does now comfortably. Not critiscising other post (I posted) just thinking inside and out of the box. I just think what ideas the good folks that is LFW can come up with. |
| Forum Thread | Wales v Ukraine at 17:28 5 Jun 2022
Anyone watching? Mostly Wales now after the non goal after about 2 mins from Ukraine. I rather fancy Wales to win, and even before the Hyperbolic around the Scotland game it could play into Wales hands with all the focus and Souness comments etc. If the game goes deep maybe into extra time I wonder if it could catch up a bit with Ukraine. |

| Forum Thread | Everton or Burnley or Leeds at 09:35 1 May 2022
So it's seems a straight shootout now between these 3 to go down, Burnley have really pulled themselves up since Dyche left - though I don't personally think he did a bad job and the future even if they survive this season looks far from rosy. However it's about this season only, who however of the 3 do you think will go down, and want to go down. I guess Leeds or Everton would be very funny - Everton would be very intriguing given the finances paid or committed too in the past 5 years or so . I think it'll be Everton and I'd laugh and laugh if it was Leeds given the media love in that still carries on. Burnley would struggle most if they drop through the trap door however I'd think. |
| Forum Thread | Death on the Beach (QPR connection) at 18:26 20 Mar 2022
Has anyone been watching Death on the Beach on Sky Crime, it's about investigation about a number of deaths on the Thai Island of Koh Tao going back as far as 2000. One of the deaths focused on: and both his mother and brother are interviewed is Ben Harrington, he also was a QPR STer (I think) and he was a poster here as BennyBoyRs (I think that was it. Didn't realise it's now been 10 years. RIP Ben |

Anyone watched any of it on the Winter Olympics coverage? I saw a couple of games years ago but don't know huge amounts about it, one thing I wondered though what exactly does the Power Play mean? and how is it meant to be a benefit to the team with it? |
| Forum Thread | Trying to buy tickets at 12:21 3 Jan 2022
For Fakes game, I am a member but QPR don'#t seem to think I am, so I cannot purchase said ticket - not very happy. Anyone know how I can get the computer to do so. |

What did everyone think? Reckon he'll go in January, and with Afcon in mind would he be worth a cheeky bid to the admin team at Derby if they still run the club by then? Thought he was excellent the other night. |

| Forum Thread | England v Andorra at 16:12 5 Sep 2021
Obviously a general case of how many and how quickly England get ahead, I always find a certain fascination with the games with Andorra, Liechtenstein, San Marino etc. Mainly wondering what standard is relative to them in terms of whether any of there players would be able to play League football in England, or National league etc. 6-0 to England wholesale changes seemingly. |
| Forum Thread | Pay Sports Channels here in UK at 09:14 1 Aug 2021
Just thinking from what I can see we have Sky Sports, BT Sport, Premier Sport. Eurosport and Free Sports. Only free sports seems to be free, the others are in some way behind a Pay wall. I was thinking about for instance the Eurospots League 3 - and Serie A for that matter don't have a big handle or sales in UK anymore - and was wondering really why, and does anyone have all of them, and whats the price for some? I have Sky Sports only, decided against the others despite Sky Sports seemingly dropping a lot of sports - especially Rugby Union they seem to barely bother with anymore, ok they have the Lions currently but not notice advertising anything else rugby wise - including the Rugby Championship which has been on for years. Cricket they are more into but wonder if the fees are less, and even then I've seen different things going elsewhere. |
