How enjoyable was that ! Rain, wind, greasy pitch, ''out of his depth, strange, and upsetting both sides'' referee. Millwall strong, quick and very effective. We were not at the races early on. Smithies kept us in it.
Never easy against 10 men - especially if they are defending a 2 goal lead. Could count ourselves somewhat unlucky not to have completely turned it around and won the game. Like the look of this squad - working for each other with great determination. We will not be the best team in this league - far from it - but we are trying to play decent football and fighting - for the team and the supporters. What a nice change - and I will take that every match day throughout the season. Long may it last. Massimo - loving what he is developing into.

In it up until around 60 minutes (well, until the first goal anyway). Bizarre substitution with Niko coming on - not mentally tuned in and certainly not physically up to it, let us and himself down badly. Charlie was Charlie - just gets better and better, great strike. Nedum's injury early on did not help us - dropped a couple of yards deeper to accommodate Clint. Matty Philips going from strength to strength. Karl Henry playing out of his skin - what a pro.
We have to keep going. Must get something out of the Tottenham game.
( Can we have a complete new set of Prem League referees and assistants next season please)

Nothing original to say. We were very poor. Did not compete. Can't defend. Never really look like scoring. I have no idea what our game plan is and what our tactics are. Also, can't see how the current management team can possibly turn this around. My only fear is - the various names that have been banded around that just might come in as potential new Manager. Does not fill me with confidence.

Obviously a disappointing result but it was the performance that was a concern. Harry complaining that his players are not fit - well he and his staff need to get them fit and quickly. Glad that ''Hollywood'' match is out of the way - get back to it next week against Stoke.

Made amends for the Tottenham game - and in complete contrast everyone battled away, competed and worked very hard - plus a lot of skill out there. That is what we are going to have to do. Was particularly impressed with Isla and Fer.
We played with energy and moved the ball quickly. Whilst Sunderland had a lot of possession in the second half they rarely threatened - and Green did his job when they did. A second goal would have calmed the nerves but I'll take the one nil. Was disappointed with the referee. Thought he never had a total grip on the game. Looks like we have some seriously good professionals at Prem level now - and they wanted it, important. I'm sure that we can only get better as the team comes together and plays more. Left the ground on a high and my optimism was back.

Nothing really positive to say. Can't tell how good Spurs were because we were shocking. Most of the teams we will play will have better individual players, therefore we need to compete - tackle, put ourselves about and show energy and commitment. Overall we didn't. Work hard to create a chance(s) and then take it - we didn't work hard - we created a few chances and then squandered them. Harry, like all Managers, will have players he will not favour. Ale is one of them. Came on - won the ball, kept possession, kept it simple and found his man. He will not be selected next Saturday however. Pace is essential at this level all over the park. Ned has that in abundance, and can play and defend well - again not favoured by Harry.
Get beat 4 nil by a better team Away - OK, understandable - but certainly not in the manner of a performance like today's. Unacceptable.

I know a lot is said about Clattenburg and his preening looks and approach etc but he is a first class referee. Brilliantly handled the match last night. A referee right on top of his game.
We got stronger as the game went on - a true team effort. Our big players stood up and were counted last night.
I think that if we set ourselves up in the right way then we will beat Derby at Wembley.

We were poor ..... as usual. No invention in midfield , and I mean the middle of the park - not meaning coming in from the wings where AT always looks a threat. Junior's ball control and retention in non existent. It will take at least two seasons to wash through this squad and rebuild with something decent. If we get top ten next season then I will be surprised. Two other observations -1. How can Adel change a game with 6 minutes play time. Ridiculous.
2. I will never, ever, ever boo a player in the R's shirt regardless of how bad he is. What is the sense of this ?

Pleased with the performance. We kept our shape all game. Bothroyd put in a good shift and JSP did too. Though that Mbia would eventually pick up two Yellows but calmed down just enough.
Surprisingly poor performance from Webb - thought that some of his decision making was below his normal high standard.
I like St Marys. Nice wrap around stadium - a good model for our new eventual home.

Brilliant game tonight. Very tight at the back. Cesar was outstanding - also Adel again. Liked the guard of honour at the end for Nelson. ManCity will not drop many points against teams outside top four for rest of season, so a well earned point for the R's.

Started brightly but we were absolutely battered in the second half - so will take the point. Normally would have been pleased but games are slipping away now I'm afraid to say.

If we had played with this organisation and commitment earlier in the season, when MH was still manager, we would not be down that end of the table. Tottenham are a seriously good side yet we prevented them from playing and if we had taken a chance or two we would have nicked it. Great to see the attitude and drive today - and I was pleased with the point. Clearly as the squad currently stands we are not an attacking force - and Harry has to get the best out of what he has been handed - which he is doing. Still think that we will not get out of it but at least we look a team now - and obviously a shame that Harry was not brought in about 6 weeks earlier than he was. Don't think that many if any will fancy coming to us though in the window. Still a way to go yet and others being sucked in and it will go to the wire like last season imo.

What a relief. Thoroughly deserved. All the players worked really hard. We will only get better further, under Harry. We have given ourselves a chance after this.

That was an absolutely shocking performance. We have gone further backwards. Versus Tottenham, first half a few weeks ago we looked like a good outfit - now we look like a complete shambles. Whilst certain players are simply not playing for the shirt - no surprise, what do they care - Hughes has got to take the blame overall. He has to go - and if Tony is really smart he should do it now and give a new Manager just a little chance of starting to save our season, although I think already it is too late.

I thought that we handled them well today. Up to the sending off thought that we would get the point. Why can't our players realise that they are going to get physically thumped during the game and accept it - how many more sendings off due to retaliation can we tolerate. M'bia a complete bloody idiot. Sorry - SWP a waste of space again.

Not good enough Hughes. While TF obviously wants and needs to back him we can not be cut adrift at the bottom. I'm afraid that Hughes does still not know his best team and seemingly lacks the motivation touch with the players. Very concerning.

Brilliant all round performance. Have already posted how poor Clattenburg was today. How could he not book Parker for diving and for Bale for physically going into the crowd to try and get the ball !
Our support today was outstanding. Need to keep all this going for last 3 games. Still touch and go.

Brilliant display all round. Each player knew what his responsibility was. We closed them down so well and didn't let them play. Diakite looks a real athlete - ironically reminded me of a young Viera, and he will only get better.

Feel pleased for Buzz as he is a genuine skilled player and seems to have gained back a lot of fitness and Hughes has faith in him. Barton seriously need to start playing - he currently looks light weight to me.
