Mid table position. That would be good with this squad.
at 09:06 12 Dec 2021

Team morale seemed very low. Wife & I were shocked at how they came out for the second half. First a group of about 7 running out like normal, then a heads-down group of about 4 hands on hips walking slowly like kids being forced out to play in the rain! I’m not exactly expecting a group huddle but it didn’t look good. Maybe they’re fed up of being played out of position

Another vote for the Times online, 5 devices 😉 and what I think is a good balanced read.

Corona Virus

I think countries will all be judged at some point in the future looking back on excess deaths, accepted that some stats will be dubious to say the least.
My feeling atm is that we were slow to lockdown and quick to ease the lockdown.
The price of life is no new thing to politics, so they are listening to the science but making political decisions imho.
I’m in SW London & it only really hit home when people started knowing people that were dead from it. On old mate of mine couldn’t get to his sisters funeral in Croydon (shielding), the pub landlord (42 years old, had young kids) 100m from my house and the local newsagent died of it.
They’re opening John Lewis here on 15 June and I guarantee it will be rammed with people confident in their home made masks ffs. Wife & I are lagging any ease in lockdown here for a few weeks.
I tell my old mum and other family in Swansea to be very cautious & do the same because an overnight change in lockdown policy doesn’t mean the threat changed at midnight, and with the R just under 1, I fear a second spike.

Any chess players on here
at 15:06 25 May 2020

I used PlayChess.com for years which was excellent but Microsoft, mainly.
Now all our stuff is apple I use Chess.com or chess24. Free for basic use.
Play a few mates and family, varying from 3 days/move to 1 minute bullet games
I watched the Magnus Carlson Invitational recently on chess24 with commentary which put something in the day for 2 weeks of the lockdown if the weather was crap.

Sad [Fulham vs Swansea]
at 23:32 29 Feb 2020

I moved to Penlan road in 1964 at 3 months from England, tough situation let’s leave it at that. Brought up in Dunvant later, Swans fan since 1977 when I earn’t the bus and entrance to see them with my mates. No money and we’d go into the North Bank when they opened the gates 20 mins before the end for the fans to leave. Had trials for them but Dean Saunders got in in the trail instead fair play. I’ve followed them home and away regularly for 43 years and I still get asked by some tw#t why I sound English yet support the Swans. I still pronounce words like hyere instead of here fore example but having moved away from Swansea 35 years ago I probably do sound English to most Swans fans, but Welsh to most English.
I was at Fulham on Wednesday and yes, there were some Swans fans with generic UK accents. No problem in my opinion if they follow the team, pay the money etc
That’s just my piece, it’s been pissing me off for decades, take it or leave it, I’m just glad to get it off my chest!
Dunvant Boy, always will be in my heart

The rec Park & Ride?

I see it’s mentioned in the Swans guide to Sunday. Would really be best option for me but could someone tell me if/how it works? Pre-booking or pitch up & pay? Many thanks

I’m in but how it takes 20 minutes acting like an MI5 code breaker to pay them and get a successful stream is beyond me

Re the JJS game at Charlton first game of the Championship

Raining, we lost 2-0?
Angel Rangel and Paula Souza I think.
Great atmosphere and the Swans Fans drank the Valley dry by half time so they had to roll barrels down from the home end 😂
I’ll be going with the wife, day out in London then 15 mins train from London Bridge

1000 I think given the South East/ London Jack fan base

Arrogant Dean Saunders
at 18:57 6 Sep 2019

Didn’t he play for Hafod?
Or Cym Albion?

I played Centre Forward in the possibles against him CF for the probables in the Swans U16 trials if my memory serves me. He got in. I can’t argue with that but there were definitely better players around him in his league team.
There were rumours that his dad had connections to help him up but tbh however he got up to pro football he deserved his spot at the top tier. Late developer maybe but fair enough.
I do remember him being a little arrogant when we played in the leagues but we were teenagers & probably all a bit cocky!

As to the drunk driving charge, stupid thing to do by him. But I don’t see too much arrogance in the footage. Just a pissed guy wanting to know if waiting for a lawyer would be better.

I’m home visiting family & in dire need of a new iPhone 6s battery.
I’ve heard there’s at least 1 place in Swansea Market that does it.
Any recommendations?
Thanks

If it’s good I’ll go again. Crap & we’ll be laughing to the pub.

Nothing new sadly

I remember standing on the North terrace at Chelsea in 1980 listening to songs mocking Johnny Owens
