Swansea City : Nathan Wood knows he is available for transfer
at 23:26 11 May 2024

I was pointing out that the club should not undervalue 20 year olds with talent and potential. Wood as worth £10m because of his enormous potential not his current form. Wood is a big lad and very fast and an England u21 international. He now has over 50 games to his name and is only going to get better,

I gave an example of Gyorkeres as an example of this muddled thinking. Gyorkeses was strong on the ball quite quick and coud head the ball. Cooper said he had potential but he chose to use Lowe who had no future upside. It is irrelevant how much I had seen of him.

I give my opinion and give examples to support my argument where possible.

It is not relevant.

Fans thought he was no good at 20 and did not take into account his massive potential. It is the same with Wood.. Poster on here are not wise enough and are suggesting Swansea should give him away for peanuts.

As I keep telling people Swansea city is a 'no go zone' for promising young strikers. Cullen is the best the club have produced in 25 years and is well short of Championship standard with obvious unresolved deficiencies.

Swansea City : Top striker target in the Swans sights, the full lowdown
at 19:46 11 May 2024

He is unproven outside National league and league 2. Mark Harris is proven in league 1. The fee will not be huge or outside Swansea s range unless Wrexham push the price too high. £300k is their maimum fee so far for Reynold's boys.

£2m max £3m will do it.

People forget he is only 21 and an England u21 international. He is no mug. He has all the tools to be a top defender including electric pace on recovery. There were good reasons he was rated at £10m and why Swansea turned it down.

Ideally these are the sort of players to keep and develop. Sadly he does not seem keen for a new long deal so has to go. Not rated on here but neither was another 20 year old Gyorkeres. Both are raw. That is why they have been at Swansea.

I would prefer a powerful tall striker who can run and head the ball but Williams does not like these strikers. Harris has much better movement than Cullen and Yates. He makes himself available.

No personal slurs this time. That is progress I suppose. It's a forum for opinions. If everyone thought like you it would be a dull as dishwater.

Speculation is good.

I saw Jason Bowen have giants like this on toast. Cullen is average at most things and poor in the air. He should be moving these guys all over the pitch. A player of craft would know what to do.

Cullen is a product of the Swansea system and it's best product. He wears the shirt with pride but will not bury a header 6 yards out. He is not very good.

If It was Coleman I would want an explanation for this 25 years of not very much. Up to £30 spent and not one good quality striker. They let Fletcher walk without a word of praise after 17 goals rattled off in double quick time.

Harris has scored 15 or so in league 1 with numerous assists. Cullen got one goal in twenty in Lincoln alongside Whittaker.

Get Cullen off to Newport county to prove he can score EFL goals and earn a new deal. I am not convinced. There will be giants there as well. Longstaff and Mullen made mincemeat of them.

Israel and Russia follow the mantra of jackboot diplomacy. Land grabbing by force irrespective of global opinion and morality. Israeli govt gives no respect for Arab life and Russia have declared all Ukrainian patriots as Nazis.

Palestinians gave the right to statehood and a representative UN recognition. This is irrespective of any activities carried out by they representatives and any illegal settlers on their land. All nations now have illegal immigrants mostly Muslim in Europe and Catholic in North America.

40 years ago girls with tattoos were associated most with the HMP community and men in the security forces.. Beckham as fashionista made it popular to get tattoos onto the mainstream.

I wonder how many people today regret getting them. 100,000s at least.

Celebrity thickos should not comment on things they do not understand..

Celebrities a by their nature of being famous earn the trust of the people. They are seen as people to follow and role models on the basis of their fame.

The general public do not understand that their favorite celebrity does not understand science. They have a excessive access to the " public ear". We now live in a world of social media and it is a dumbing down process.

The banker bail out was a massive subsidy for the well headed paid for by taxpayers and future taxpayers. There was a south East property bubble after the bonuses were paid and under writen by current and future taxpayers. The obvious thing to do was a windfall tax on all properties worth over 1million. ( Most in the SE England banking heartland). The Liberal Social Dems has it as a policy as they had matched up the two things.
We a on the forum have to put up with Anglo philes tell Welsh people are heavily subsidized as we hand overall our resources for free for the good of the Union.

Footballers in the world of football get away with a lot. If you illegally gamble you are deserving of sympathy as "it is an illness".
If you cannot get up in the morning and go to work you go s play for someone else and blame the manager fir being unreasonable.

Joey has been getting away with it for years. In the real world he will have a nasty shock.

SUFC used three Premier League players in the 5-1.Mason Holgate and young prospects Isula and Arbalaster. It showed. The coaches could have put in Kuharevych and Abdullai perhaps to make it a more even game but they rarely do this. Isula out muscled Joe Thomas and Evan Watts for a header in the 6 yard box. They will wonder how they allowed it. ( They switched off)

Swansea need to make permanent signings and develop these sort of players. Chelsea cannot keep everyone and can put on sell on deals. The Premier League are farming talent. Buying in 50-100 best talents letting other teams develop on loan.

It sounds a dubious 'industrial farming' practice funded by the EPL broadcast deal. Middle East Arab governments harvesting talented sportsmen for profit with no intention of them ever playing for them. Ethan Ampadu for one.

Eleven goal thriller last season. 10 for Swansea. The Blues completely outclassed. They did battle. Last good bye for Rushesha and one or two others. Abdullai patrolled and was a class above. Congreve showed his set piece abilities. Josh Thomas 3. Liam Smith very good. Overall a good day out.

The little fellow from Briton Ferry Hurford scored a worldly but it was his last game as well. I looked like Shaqiri. Leveritt. also moved on. They played like a well oiled machine. Brum were over whelmed .

I am disappointed that a few of these are not regulars. I have a feeling Evan Watts might have a chance. I hope he is working with the first team coaches.

Cullen was brushed of by the Millwall stoppers no bother at all. He still looks like the 19 y o academy boy. Yates did his fighting for him and got sent off.
