Redknobb's knees are made for walking ..... all the way to Brum 07:57 - May 11 with 6842 viewsShotKneesHoop

You knew Pinocchio and Rosie couldn't resist the sound of brown envelopes being posted through their letterbox. See http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39878418

Suddenly a miracle occurs - and he's cured of knees so painful that he couldn't stand up to collect money out of a hole in the wall (aka QPR)

The Blues have been smart enough to give Redknobb a one year contract, but he'll still get the dogs abuse when he gets to Loftus Road next year.

So that's Brum to add to the list of QPR, Portsmouth, Southampton, West Ham as clubs who run a competition every year on which set of fans hate him the most. That's one we might still win.

Yeh, buy loads of players, most of them Willie Mckay clients, big transfer fees, unbelievable contracts, huge agents fees. Pretty good season next year and maybe the year after that. Three or four years down the track, financially destitute and looking at a long, long rebuilding process.

Yeah the fall out is never good, happened with us, Portsmouth and West Ham. If you have a strong CEO like he had at Spurs he can do very well but at clubs like us when he can do what he likes the fall out is never good.

They have a squad that was top 8 until Xmas so he should be able to manage that again and make a few quid

Thanks mate. This season has been our most enjoyable season since the Europa League final. Hopefully we'll give a good account of ourselves and go to Reading with some sort of lead - I think playing the 2nd leg away works in our favour with our approach and away form, and perhaps Reading having to press forward if we can win the home game. Excited, but anxious. Doubt I'll sleep well tonight.

Good Luck , hope you smash Reading can't stand them

If you win them you are in for the best few weeks, nothing beats winning at Wembley

I love the absolute vitriol that Redcrapp gets.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely hate the bloke. He's a total crook. A shyster. He can't "manage" or coach - he just buys.
All that hatred; juxtaposed by that fantastic day out at Wembley.
WHAT.
A.
DAY.

Anyway, I hope he spends loads of Brum's money; and his team are rock bottom and adrift by christmas.

I'm surprised he took the job.
I've seen his house on Sandbanks (the Brownsea Island/Purbeck ferry captain pointed it out a few years ago). He famously is never going to take a job (properly) up north - cos he won't move house. (His house is on a fantastic spot). 70 years old, and meant to do that commute most days?? He won't last. 3.5 hours each way???

He weren't going to move to Ukraine either as he was waiting for the call from Wembley.

Yup - "meant" to do that commute = you know, turn up for work MOST days, like you're supposed to.
But he's a shyster.
And Birmingham are mugs.
I hope it all goes teets up for them.

Yes best of luck Konk, I quite like all of the play-off teams this year and have mates that support them all apart from (in both cases) Reading who bore me to tears - but I don't want to go to fcking Reading next season.

Either way I would like to see Fulham end up in a shoot out just for the sports psychology element of it all!

Thanks mate. Reading should be a brilliant away day as it’s just down the road and we always take good numbers, but it’s just a bit sh it. The faff with the buses does my nut in. If we don’t go up, then I hope it’s Huddersfield or Wednesday, even if they’re two decent away days and Wednesday fans are a bit Leeds-lite in some of their ‘massive club’ carry on.

Not being a drama queen, but I really don't think I could cope with penalties. I feel quite anxious just thinking about it!

Cheers, Dave. If we do get past Reading, then I'll be massively cacking myself as I'm sure not much compares with losing at Wembley either! It's been a long old wait for another game at Wembley, so I really hope we do it. Foam fingers and Jesters hats ahoy!

It's clear from DavoBirmingham's fan interviews that the fans liked Rowett.

It wasn't their fault Zola (or the Pied Piper of Sandbanks) came in.

I've always been one of those fans who sneers at the clappers and flag wavers but once I got Wembley and someone put a flag in my hand I was like a 5 year old again waving like a mad man.

You are right, nothing worse than losing a final, i still haven't got over 86 yet

Good Luck to Konk and the 'Fools', always liked the club for their uniqueness and being the more friendly of our local rivals.

After all those hammerings you gave us, just when we get the upper hand you are poised to desert us!

Thanks, mate, but I wouldn't worry too much as I'm not sure we'll make it!

That's true.
I want it all to go wrong, to send Redcrapp into irrelevance.

The vulture settles on the carcass and prepares to tuck in...

Those poor Blues fans. In just over a year, some of Redknapp's signings will have drifted out of the game due to a combination of being over the hill and being absolutely swimming in money after their last big payday.

RFA

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

They've obviously been daft, putting it mildly, in appointing Redknapp but their saving grace may just be;

Meanwhile, Blues have appointed Jeff Vetere as director of football to "organise the recruitment strategy and offer support to the manager in identifying and signing players".
Vetere has held posts at several clubs, including Real Madrid, Newcastle, West Ham and Aston Villa.

The blokes got a bigger job on his hands than Hoos!

I've got the Power.
