Nobody, but nobody can tell me that this isnt done on purpose.

It's being so happy that keeps me going.

This is the worst sort of referee. Someone who's inconsistent, pernickity and fails to clamp down on cynical fouls, just completely gives me the right hump.

And how lovely of the people who decide these things to select those particular linesmen. Gee, thanks.

Mark Dwyer?

He was given a week off after the Sunderland debacle and went back to running the line. I can only assume they wait until the manager changed so they don't have to be confronted by Warbs again.

The seating at Sunderland means he'll not be confronted by QPR fans but a reminder tune or two to him would be most welcome.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end
Poll: When you go to QPR games, what do you think will happen?

I suspect that will come from the Sunderland fans in praise of him!

How much money did that horrible decision cost us drawing Man City probably watched in every corner of the globe with their audience.Forget the stupid apology letter QPR should have been financially compensated for that cluster f*uk .
The trip up north is not looking good for the amazing regulars who pay their money down ,maybe we will get a break for once

It would’ve been Arsenal away in the QF,but the money would’ve come in handy for a club struggling financially. And the fans were robbed of a good day out by an incompetent set of officials.

You've stuck to that line every since that game and it ignores the fact that if you're disallowing the goal for offside then you have to go back and award the penalty for the deliberate handball on the goal line from Adomah's shot which is how the ball got to Austin in the first place. That's on Stroud.

I just think it is impossible to know what he thought he saw!

I assume that he felt it didn't "feel" right to him & made an incompetent guess!

God help us if he balls up in favour of Sunderland again!

Old ground, but yeah see your point, but as he (Stroud) awarded the goal with no advantage signal, he either didn't see it or not think it was handball (which by the current convoluted law whereby almost anything can/cannot be handball) is a possibility.

A few on RefChat - no vested interest in us/Sunderland/Stroud, whilst agreeing the non offside was a terrible decision - which for the 1,000th time I agree, it WAS - were not convinced by the handball shout.

Sorry, should have added, I know the referees/assistant stay in 'teams' - think its 3 referees and 9 assistants, but would have been easily avoidable to keep him off our games and even easier to keep him off our games v Sunderland!!!!!!

Fair enough the referees association or whatever they call themselves, but I would have thought that the EFL, EPL and FA would have some say in these appointments i.e. when clubs lodge complaints or get apology letters not sending them to referee the fixtures of those clubs.

I’m surprised that Stroud wasn’t appointed as the ref too (or maybe he’s the 4th official).

The really worrying point in this is I fully understand that the Referees Association have to back their people no matter what but in an issue like this with the history will this not play some part in the said individuals decision making .
I would imagine if I in my work place I had a manager who made it known he thought I was incompetent that would colour any future interactions ie either I would basically down tools and do as little as was humanly possible or go the other route try and impress them neither of these options being my normal way of working.
