Always enjoy chatting with this guy.

Currently battling with whatever that was we all brought back from Leicester last week so it sounds a bit Radio 2 post 10pm but hopefully you can get past that...

Enjoyed that Clive, you're always a good listen, and enjoyed listening to the host too. Quite enjoyable listening to two supporters with accents you wouldn't necessarily place with their respective clubs too!

Mick Beale chat was entertaining. Have to admit to being one of those who was embarrassingly taken in by the whole thing, told all my mates about the new messiah etc., to the extent they are rolling their eyes at my chat about the next new messiah now...

And do you follow the shoe, or the gourd?

Suffering since 1978.

Thanks Clive.

I would think that you would know more than I would, but I've gained the impression for a while now that quite a few Sunderland fans have a softish feeling towards us. Far more so than followers of Midlands clubs for instant!

It might just be that this is solely due to the good relationship that you personally have with this podcast, which is always a good listen when we're due to play them. It may also be that they consider their feelings towards Newcastle as similar to ours towards The Pensioners!

Best wishes to all of our supporters that will be there on Saturday. Hopefully, you won't leave there totally despondent.

Always found Sunderland and Boro fans to be sound. They’re both similar recent history to us in that they’ve seen a bit of success and some embarrassing failure in the past few decades, plus I always find people from the north east take life with a pinch of salt.

I like that podcast. Listened to a few of them in the past. Will give this one a go.
