Great to see 'Enry Mancini being inducted into 'Forever R's' on Tuesday. He was a real hero of mine. My godfather knew him, and got me into the players guest room after the Leeds game in 1974, our biggest ever crowd at LR. I had an amazing time, chatting to Mancini, Terry Venables, Gerry Francis and Stan Bowles.
He was a real bruiser on the pitch, but also a real character. Glad to see he hadn't lost his sense of humour on Tuesday :>)

Bumped into him in a pub in Hammersmith a couple of times. I may have misinterpreted the atmosphere, but nice bloke as he was, I think he, his family and mates were a bit on the dodgy side, wouldn't want to cross 'em if you know what I mean?
