I think your description of our central defenders playing an 'offside trap' was more than generous. This has been the most error strewn area of the pitch for us, regardless of who is playing there. Hall, Lynch and especially Onouha have all got the propensity for a colossal cock up or positional suicide at any time.
Watching us play against Brighton I got the impression that Brighton were purposefully leaving Onouha free to collect the ball and either distribute it (poorly) or bring the ball forward himself (often disastrously). I know he's our captain but I think we should look for someone else to replace him.
Lastly, I'm beginning to feel that we may be a better team without relying on Smith's aerial 'ability'. He doesn't win enough in the air for me and playing hopeful long balls up to him deprives us of having the ball at the feet of our better, more creative players.

While I don't want to say that we would have done better, but I do feel that the decision not to award the goal to Smith could have altered the game. If the scoreline had returned to equality, the pressure would have been on Bristol and that could have led to them making mistakes. The reasoning for the decision by the referee is unknown and perhaps you have given the best option, but what I feel that is lamentable is that the general QPR public seems to have just accepted it. In this forum we have had barely a handful of mentions of possibly such a "key" decision going against us. Perhaps we have all packed our bags for summer as well. |  | | |
