Maybe make a cheeky bid for someone like Danny Simpson at Newcastle. They are about to sign a new right back and he hasn't got long left on his contract. I'm not so sure, or at least, the players need to work on this in training a bit, because they were completely exploited down the flanks at times, or certain players from the central midfield areas didn't realise it was them who had to provide cover in two-on-one situations.
We were so slow to react and that allowed them to get in behind plenty of times, so while it has helped in some ways it's always created more problems elsewhere.
But it's probably worth a shout, I mean, it's not like anything else is working for us at the moment. If we can't play a bog standard 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 well though, it's hard to see how they will have the intelligence and nous to play 3-5-2. |  | | |
