Loftus Road Walk Out Music
at 10:23 1 Mar 2024

Do we walk out to London Calling? I thought that was played the song before the walk out?

Also, here's a thing: whatever anyone chooses, minimum 50% of the crowd, more like 80%, will be fuming.

I don't think anyone's asking him to be Ederson and ping a 30 yard ball directly into a player's stride. He's only being asked to pass it 5 yards. All he has to do it is do it quicker, and don't do it when a player has 3 opponents converging on him.

Fancy reveling in their misery?

Well, SS is good if you're not at a game, and Stelling made it great fun.
As for this sort of stuff, the kids will probably watch both - one on the TV, one on a handheld. I imagine we all did stuff as youngsters that older people thought was mad.

Goals Conceded
at 12:37 27 Feb 2024

I find it very hard to believe he is on anything like the figures being bandied about - it doesn't really make sense in the context of what we were doing last summer, and finding a half decent keeper at this level for a year isn't that hard. I think people need to look beyond it. It's a one year deal anyway.
Could be wrong though!

Lee Wallace tidbit from Barbs

yeah probably worth clarifying i think that Barbs is talking about Hall in the first bit and then Wallace in the second? I don't think Wallace ever refused to play.

Whether we stay up or not, I suspect a new keeper will be very high on Marti's wish list.

Willock completes Rangers' Rotherham revival - Report

Exactly this.
And the keeper also needs to be thinking, chess-like, about the pass after his. If he gives it to someone, do they have an option too? This is on the outfield players as well of course. Pedro also spot on about how slow the three of them were. Get a goal kick, and they just stand there for ages waiting for Rotherham to mark up. Pass the bloody thing and get on with it!

If you don't think this team is one of the worst QPR teams of the last 40 years you haven't been watching long. This is a team struggling to avoid relegation to League One. Pretty much by definition that's one of the poorest teams of the last 40 years, before we even take into account we'd won 1 game at home in a year when we beat Stoke. So yeh, really.

I have no issue with anyone questioning Marti's decisions, of course I don't. I've been vocal against loads of managers. It's the stuff like 'stumbled on' and 'bizarre' for perfectly rational decisions that make it condescending.

We've lost 1 in 7. Some might suggest your criticisms of his rotation are misplaced.

Yep, the VDV ruling was insane. Not a single person would've complained about that goal being given. Why are we ruloing out goals no one is even appealing over? It's crazy, this desperation to find a way to rule out every goal scored.

I mean, we're all entitled to our opinion but your condescension towards a manager that has basically dragged one of the worst QPR teams in the last 40 years to having a shot at avoiding relegation is pretty breathtaking.
Field should be disappointed - he's a good professional.
Worth noting that we created more and arguably better chances to score in the first half than the second, too, with their keeper making 4 very decent saves.
His 'best' starting XI will change depending on what he wants and who we're facing, as it always has done.

I think Hayden has been excellent for us, but I don't know if he was feeling under the weather or what, but he was pretty poor yesterday and looked well off the pace to me. Wasn't surprised he was hooked.

Maybe to you, but then you haven't worked with the players all week, you don't have access to their fitness stats and you don't know them - you don't even know that Hodge came on as a sub in the game you refer to, for starters.
Managers and coaches always have reasons for the decisions they make - as others have said, Andersen and Field were sick in the week and so if they worked on patterns of play for this game, they wouldn't have been part of that - hardly bizarre to therefore rule them out, particularly with Colback having a rest last week. Dykes has scored 5 goals all season, don't think it's particularly bizarre for him not to start. I didn't see much wrong with Frey's fitness yesterday.

Don't think it was bizarre. Seemed pretty sensible to me.

tbf, he made 4 very good saves first half, particularly the headers from Frey and Cook.
I thought Norf's Danny Coyne stuff was going to be repeated.

Bit Marmite? As in anyone who knows what they're talking about thinks he's really tasty?
I thought he was fine, did some lovely flick-ons and won a lot in the air. Almost scored. Tied up their defenders well.

RIP Stan.
Never got to see him play, but love watching the clips. Went to see him talk in a pub back in, I dunno, 2001, along with about 50-odd fans and it was a great night, he was very funny and he loved our club as much as we loved him. Love to his family.

Chair jailed for a year
at 23:10 23 Feb 2024

A lot of stuff here based on guesswork. A lot of criticism of Chair of 'not taking it seriously' - how do any of us know that? One thing we do know is his legal counsel changed very late on. It's possible Chair, as basically anyone would, was following advice from his lawyer, and then at a very late stage perhaps realised that strategy was not a good one, and he was replaced by a better (pricier) lawyer. I don't know, but there's a lot of assumptions being made on this thread.
