Got a Toshiba a/c unit fitted last year in our main bedroom. £2,500 incl installation was a brilliant investment.
It can literally cool most of the top of my house, it’s quite and costs circa £0.50p a day to run.

Social media ban for under 16’s

Musk is not long for this world.
He’s the J.D. Rockefeller of our times. You don’t march around the globe attempting to shape society and governments in a way that he sees fit and proper without deadly repercussions.
He’s a full on megalomaniac with psychotic tendencies all fuelled by various potions.

Fan sites meeting with Christian Nourry

Clive - some of us are fortunate to remember the incredible ownership under Jim Gregory in the 70’s.
Self-made millionaire who loved the Rs and allowed Sexton to build that incredible team.

The big pension funds are awash with cash as our many of the private investment banks. It’s all about timing. Sometimes you have to look at what is awaiting planning permission and the scale of proposals.
The investment narrative that “West is Best” in London still holds sway to some extent. However, as anyone in construction (and there is many of you on this site) there are challenges with supply chain and Labour.
Wasn’t in the least surprised to hear Nourry say “no comment “ when asked about the car giant site. Ruben has more than enough financial backing to be a player on this and I assume they are seeing development/investment partners.

Your last sentence is on the money. It would be foolish and irresponsible to comment on any QPR involvement at this time.

Been involved in these RE investment opportunities in my past professional career- now retired. I would be astonished if the club are not partnering with this initiative. Ruben will not get another opportunity in west London like this again and I’m sure his investment partners are all over this.
Important to remember that it’s highly unlikely the club will comment any time soon given the highly confidential planning and financial details involved.
We should perhaps look out for Ruben creating a new investment venture in amongst his other business interests.

Holidays planned this year....
at 09:20 7 May 2026

Been travelling in and out of NYC with work since the early 90’s plus numerous weekends etc. I was there in January and I was shocked by how expensive the City had become over a short period of time.
Bars and restaurants now offering payment in cash with a 10% discount as merchant fees on cards have become too expensive for small businesses.
Great place to visit but almost taking the piss. Enjoy your trip and the Met Life experience. The stadium is literally anchored in between major highways and is notoriously difficult to get to.

Anatomy of a season – Report
at 13:49 27 Apr 2026

Great report and so accurate.

I can’t believe Ruben will allow the mis-management of player welfare to continue. Three managers in a row all saying the same thing. Eventually the “penny” has to drop.

He rarely travels to the U.K. so something must be afoot. Does he agree a change in another manager or decide to shake up the under performing management team currently burning through £22M of his money?

What do you think?

Clive - how much longer should we expect Ruben to write out a £22M cheque pa? His benevolence is beyond reproach. At some point the magic money tree has to stop “flowering”.
This is an opportunity for him to turn that unwavering financial support into something meaningful. I know the site reasonably well and most architects will have a work around. Plus the investment opportunities are off the scale.
I’d be amazed if the Board are not all over this.

I’d be amazed if the Board are not interested in the site. Forget about the football for a second and look at the investment opportunities.
Ruben is chucking huge amounts of cash to keep us afloat. It’s obvious that LR is a bottomless pit and it’s futile to keep throwing money at a failing facility.
The Board probably have a valuation of circa £90M on the sale of the LR site probably for luxury residential development. It’s feasible the club could create an investment vehicle to pursue this sale and the acquisition of the car giant site.
It won’t be just about throwing up a new stadium on that footprint. It will be about leveraging the whole site and its surroundings in a major redevelopment.
Ruben has vast wealth and no end of very willing investors in joining him in a major development. I can’t imagine they won’t miss out on such an opportunity so close to home.

When they were last relegated, they finished third and came straight back up. At present, they have relegation written all over them, if they stick with current manager.
If they go down, it would be a must return in the first season, otherwise they face a financial crisis. No PL, European or TV money. Yes, parachute payment, but given the financial leaverage the club must have to pay for that stadium,Championship match day prices won’t pay their huge bills.
They look absolutely shot and their better players don’t give a shit as they’ll be off the minute they are relegated.

As Clive has mentioned previously we have form in treating our players ex or present poorly. Cook comes across as a consummate professional and has probably seen it all. So whatever made him react must have been either dis-respectful or downright shitty or both.

Since he’s arrived he has literally carried the team on so many occasions.

As always, brutally honest and insightful.

I suspect Ruben operates behind the scenes and given the scale of his other businesses and wealth I doubt he’s that forensic in checking on his management team. That said, business leaders in SE Asia take a dim view of failure and what we are seeing at the R’s at the moment are catastrophic management failures.

Yes, lose today and the manager is toast. As a fan of over 55yrs I think we need a way to make Ruben aware that Nourry and his disciples are shit-housing the life out of him and the fans. We need to make Ruben aware.

QPR thrashed, Boro run riot, night follows day, bear seen heading for wood
at 22:10 9 Mar 2026

Spot-on as always.

I posted earlier about leadership. Ruben is throwing £2M a month at this shit-show created by Nourry. Given the direction taken by Nourry it’s going to take a huge job to undo the mess and get a sensible approach. This is on the CEO and his management team and I hope Ruben pulls the trigger. Get a sensible English DoF in asap and re-set.

Issac Hayden commented that the Belgium league is very similar to the Championship yet Nourry is recruiting from SE Asia and badly. What a fecking mess.

Hoopsa on today's horror show
at 12:32 9 Mar 2026

It all comes down to leadership and responsibility. The Board now have a decision to make given Ruben is pumping north of £22M into the club per season to keep us afloat.

For nigh on 10 plus years that investment and support hasn’t delivered anything of note - not even close. Nourry’s pre-occupation on this youth model is flawed both from a playing and financial perspective. The player recruitment appears to have no semblance of success and player retention is a joke - how many goalkeepers do we have.

I listened to Issac Hayden recently and he made a point about the Belgium league being the closest to the level of the Championship. Instead we are recruiting from SE Asia!

It’s obvious that Nourry is a big problem and he needs to be dealt with quickly and replaced before the whole thing sinks into oblivion and Ruben walks away!
