| Forum Thread | Favourite QPR photos of all time at 22:52 25 Mar 2019
Apologies if Spackman... Thinking of doing a section on the radio show about favourite QPR photos ever. I’ve got one of me at the playoffs that perfectly captured my euphoria. QPR player wise it’s probably... https://images.app.goo.gl/TRrpg7ykqbg16RWYA What are yours? p.s. where do I find that picture of a toothless, ‘Guinness’ shirt wearing fan? p.p.s having a mare embedding with my phone!! Will sort tomorrow!! Who clicks links these days? So 2013 [Post edited 25 Mar 23:10]

| Forum Thread | London Broncos at 08:49 2 Feb 2019
I know a few on here (Clive, Mr Sheen) like Rugby League and it’s back! I watched London Broncos in their play offs last season and decided to get a season ticket. Most games are Thursday evening or Sunday afternoon. Cost us £130 and junior £20 which I thought was reasonable for a few days out in Ealing. Hoping London can stay up but it’s going to be tough. |

Thanks to Clive for letting me promote the podcast we do on Love Sport Radio. It's been put up before but the reason I'm bringing it up again is because we now host the show on SoundCloud which means you don't have to sit through the ads or any other chaff! Latest show featuring Andy Sinton and a chat with Sheffield United fan Ben Humphreys, can be found here: https://m.soundcloud.com/ranger-things/hoopy-new-year We've had good callers over the last few months including Marc Bircham, Clint Hill, Shaun Derry, Lee Cook, Martin Rowlands and others. Planning to put all the old shows up in SoundCloud in chronological order at some point in the near future. Best place to hear about the pod is at: https://twitter.com/RangerThings1 [Post edited 11 Jan 9:36]

| Forum Thread | QPR's record in West London Derbies since 2000 at 18:58 24 Apr 2018
Stating the obvious but our record in West London derbies since 2000 is shockingly bad. I wondered just how bad so checked out the head to heads. P 35 W 7 D 9 L 19 Not much fun for the fans!! In the last 21 games (7 games v Brentford, Fulham and Chelsea) We've won 4, drawn 4 and lost 13! |
| Forum Thread | Sean Goss getting good reviews at 21:44 24 Jan 2018
Not really had a chance here but seems to have started well at Rangers. Is he not good enough, doesn’t fit the system, needs toughening up or not an Olly/Birch type player? Hope he can get good game time in the SPL and come back to force his way into the first team picture. I’m not overly convinced that our midfield theee or the system is all it’s cracked up to be and the likes of Goss, Manning and Cousins could be of value if there’s room. |
| Forum Thread | Samaritans 116 123 - Just in case... at 11:22 28 Dec 2017
Some massive flounces on here over the festive period. Especially over something that doesn’t really effect anyone much I.e. Virgil van Dijk. I mean it’s not something doomsday-sequel like the water pressure or temparature in the ladies bogs at Loftus Road. Changes happen in life, we get older and the world moves on. More mediums to broadcast our unease with it. Granted the games changed but same could be said since villages used to kick insides of pigs between each other. Still the purest versions out there if you want it. |
| Forum Thread | Happy New Year - Millwall Away then Cardiff at Home at 06:31 19 Nov 2017
I've just seen that we've got Millwall Away followed by Cardiff at Home. That will be pleasant!! Villa fans were very noisy yesterday but also a bit rough around the edges. Makes a defeat doubly bad when fans are like that so let's hope the players don't let Caulker organise the Xmas party and we give a good account of ourselves. |
| Forum Thread | Would you sell Manning at 07:34 30 Apr 2017
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/bournemouth-crystal-palace- Would look to make a profit on the boy from Galway who we signed for £50k and must have cost us less than £100k in wages and bonuses? How much would he be worth? Or do you see him as an integral part of a promotion chasing team that could return millions?? For me, I'd cash in at £4/5m and invest in a war horse of a centre back that could be captain or a time machine to go and get a 27 year old version of Clint Hill |
| Forum Thread | Doughty at 07:03 30 Apr 2017
I've often over believed in our players abilities from a pure hope that they do well (Mike Sharon, Kevin McLeod, Petter Vagen Moën) but I do see something in Michael Doughty that thinks he should be getting more game time. In his small cameo yesterday it felt like he won more headers in the middle of the park than Freeman, Manning and Luongo did all game. Basically he was a physical presence, on the deck and in the air, which we've desperately lacked at times. I'm a fan of Mass who is great at winning the ball back but it's normally from a slide tackle due to bad positioning or slow speed of thought. Freeman isn't reallly that guy and let's just say that Mannings tackling is a work in progress. Doughty also retains possession quite well and generally looks for a forward pass. Mass passes like a League two player, it's his biggest failure which for a CM is a bit of an issue, especially if you haven't got someone next to him who keeps it moving well. Goss could be the perfect partner for Luongo but needs to get up to Championship speed from U23 football and quick. I actually see Freeman more as a winger or 10 and Manning could be used at the point of a 3 man midfield in a 4-5-1/4-3-2-1 or 4-3-3. I thought Olly was a big fan of Doughty but that doesn't seem to have equated to game time. Maybe there is something missing from training ground to match day but you would be surprised if it was to do with his character and he's shown some great hunger and desire in the short amount of game time I've seen him play. I hope to see more of Doughts next season as I think he could save us a fortune looking for something we've already got. |
| Forum Thread | Clean sheets at 06:47 30 Apr 2017
Not normally one for stats but that was our first clean sheet at home under Olly and his teams 3rd from 30 (the others being Reading & Leeds away) we've only 7 kept all season with 3 of those in August! At the danger of stating the obvious, goals change games. Whilst I'm all for dynamic and exciting football that's full of flair, solid foundations are normally synonymous with succesful teams. I want my team to be succesful and entertain but in that order. It's easy to point to defenders to defend but it's a whole team effort, requiring co-ordination and work rate. I just can't see our current management or players getting that right and fear another season of randomness. I think that a belief in a pre-season to get this right is clutching at straws as they've had since November to ask a change and the on performance couple with the stats speak for themselves. Over to you Curtis Fleming..... |
| Forum Thread | New Laptop advice at 08:31 13 Apr 2017
It's a bloody minefield out there so I'm looking for advice on buying a laptop for my new job. I'll be running a smallish children and young people's charity in H & F. I'll need the usual Microsoft office stuff to run well and decent storage. Will do the odd presentation on it as well so maybe decent speakers. I'm getting lured in by the Leneovo Yoga and Surface Pro as I take a lot of notes as I am currently still pen and paper which is great but limited because it then takes time to convert to computer. I'm not sure if the the stylus idea works or is a gimmick and I'll lose out in other areas. I have looked at the: XPS 13 HP Envy Ideapad Budget is up to £1k but £750 would be ideal.
