Thought he was unlucky with the deflection when he tried to block the shot. I guess we got a bit of luck with a couple of the goals against Leicester and then a bit against us with the deflection going in for Norwich |

Disappointed more than depressed. When we win, particularly games like Brum and Leicester, even Blackburn away, it does give me a spring in my step and and general good feeling. When we lose, I'm generally grumpy fo about an hour and then forget about it until the next game.
The last 3 games, I've just been very disappointed at the way we have played. |

4-4-2 has generally been successful for us so far this season, but it has been obvious for a few weeks (particularly away from home), that we need to be able to try something different such as 4-3-2-1 to block off the midfield.
My main complaint is that teams have now worked us out and we are dependent on individuals doing something special which hasn't happened in the last 3 games. As others have pointed out, most of the subs have been like for like without any tweaks/changes to the overall formation which sometimes you need to get back into a game or to make the opposition think. |

Also, when Madsen was injured, the ref made him go off the pitch after treatment. I thought that as Madsen had been injured by being fouled and the ref had awarded a free kick, then Madsen didn't have to go off?
Or has that changed again? |

Thought the ref was awful for the entire game. Cordoba basically went through Burrell on at least 2 occasions, shoulder into back, completely flooring him and the ref gave nothing. Gave lots of soft free kicks to Norwich but then didn't give us the same.
The Norwich number 7 was also continually hitting people in the back late whilst pretending to challenge for headers, several dives rewarded with free kicks. Then in the last few minutes he decided not to give anything - we culd have had a penalty, they could have had one, Mbengue could have got a yellow for a foul on the half way line - the ref was a complete joke. |

We wore the pink and black at Blackburn and won. The 7-1 defeat at Coventry was in the green and white hoops. |

I had the same discussion with my son when the team came out. We went from thinking it might be a back 3 of Dunne, Morrison and Field with Morgan and Esquerdinha as wing-backs, then maybe a back 4 with Dunne at right back, Field and Morrison at CB and Morgan in a midfield 3 with Saito and Poku on the wings with Kone up front. We also thought maybe the same formation but with Morgan at RB and Field in the midfield 3.
At no point did we think we were sticking with basically a 4-4-2 with Field and Kone as the pair. |

Agree with this especially that we could have made it a bit harder by having an extra midfielder.
On the point about free kicks, I think at half time, we had only had 17% possession but somehow Boro had fouled us 6 times (we had given away 3 fouls). Not only were they very good with the ball, but they were happy to commit fouls to stop us. |

It is sad that one of the players has been racially abused - I think the club have done the right thing in withdrawing from the competition |
