Champions League Places

In our collective lifetimes, we'll see the day when 16th in the Championship gets you into something European. Admitedly it might just be the Eurovision, but it'll definitely be a European competition of some sort.

Those of us there that day won't forget the generosity of their keeper for literally handing us our first goal.

Great day to be an Rfosi living in Manchester.

Thought he looked ok, but since being injured his progress has derailed somewhat.

Like his attitude in wanting to play games and try his luck to get in the frame for the WC. But before we totally write him off, lest we forget this time last year the call for Madsen to be sold was deafening and now he's our David Attenborough, our Mary Berry, our Barry Bannon....just a thought!

Not sure I'm going to have much sympathy for those who blindly go to this fleecing contest. But 80 bucks for this journey is a rip-off

This all assumes a miraculous replenishing of fuel stores that have been decimated over the last five weeks. Given how long a tanker takes to get from source to refinery, there are going to be issues starting soon that a two week moratorium won't resolve. Thus, jetfuel, if we have any, will go up and if a deal isn't struck, getting to the US in June might not be possible.

As long as we don't get 'musclebound', we could win this.

Think you've called it amigo.

If they don't go up at the first time of asking, the academy could be put in special measures. Although Spurs being relegated would be hilarious.

Think you ignored my references to him being a class act who did a great job, and who got very close!

But yes, it always comes down to what you win at the end of the day and given how we were in control of that game, we really ought not to have lost it.

100% this!

Southgate was a class act and did a great job. However, after the Italy final it was clear that he just lacked that 'thing' a manager needs to be a winner. But he did get bloody close to be fair, and you'd still have a beer with him.

As for Italy: fck 'em!!

We've been spared a team of divers, cheats, and at times, dirty barstardis. Albeit not hearing their national anthem is a huge loss for any sporting event.

For me, now is the time we wrap S_P in cotton wool and focus on having him ready for take-off first game of next season. I'm worried about fatigue, injury, and the potential for a big bid coming in for him over the summer.

100% muchacho!!.

Let's see when folks' utility, food, petrol bills start rolling in higher than expected, if many can still afford it?

That said, I was based out in Qatar before the last one and when all was said and done, fans came in droves despite all the talk prior to the WC.

Until such time as fans grow a pair and stop paying £123 for a kids shirt and Lord knows how much this WC will cost, the fleecing of sheep will continue!

As anyone who has worked for a big global organisation will atest, they ultimately become a self-serving bureaucracy, and frequently forget what is or, should be, at the heart of their operation.

The peace prize was idiocy. As if Trumpet had a clue about the WC, FIFA or, would even be persuaded by such an award. It looked pathetic at the time, with Infantile standing there saying 'football is with you' to Trumpet. It was plain embarrassing and now looks increasingly stupid given what's happened since.

This WC and that stupid country can do one as far as I'm concerned and as for football's governing authority, ...#FIFAIsn'tFootballAnymore

Tiger Woods
at 07:42 31 Mar 2026

This all started when his wife finally threw him out and smashed up his car as he was leaving.

What I heard on the grapevine - and let's cover ourselves here - allegedly, Woods was a 'notorious' bad boy!

However, and this is the real issue here for me, because he was making everyone so much money, those with a vested interest in him worked to cover things up as opposed to encouraging the bloke to take time out to address his issues. Which the pressures of his fame undoubtedly exacerbated.

Bit like Lance Armstrong in a way. They all knew what was going on, but they were all happy to turn a blind eye as long as the money kept rolling in.
