Yeah basically JS got booked for pointing out the big clock had already gone past 45+3 at the end of the first half. Meanwhile Jones was shouting at the lino after the offside goal for 5 minutes then shouting at the 3rd official for 5 minutes after their penalty appeals were waved away, yet didn't get booked.

I was sat with Charlton fans and they all agreed that their player should have got a booking for a late challenge on kamara in the middle of the pitch but when we won the corner it looked like he didn't know who had committed the foul.

I think he guessed a lot of it from what I could see.

100% agree but with the caveat he could have subbed 2 players let them settle for 5 minutes then sub the other 2.

4 in one go with 3 changes in the back 4 was a bit more risk than we should be taking and better teams would have punished that further.

Glad we got the points though and hopefully the rotation will pay dividends at the weekend.

My go to example of common sense playing second fiddle to H&S is always a station job I was involved with. We had a site visit on the hottest day of the year. NR rules say you have to wear full orange, think it's so that the train drivers can see you easier. Fair enough, site rules were we had to wear all orange. However, when you're working on the station building and inspecting the loft space, it really isn't necessary to have plastic over trousers on as well. I raise this with the contractor when we were on the second floor of the station, before we accessed the loft space but they'd had their wrist slapped recently by NR for subbies not wearing full orange, so they weren't budging. The building surveyor I was with suffered heat exhaustion and only just made it out of the loft space under his own steam before being sick. I'm still not convinced it was wise for him to do the 2.5hr drive home either but by that point he had limited options and just wanted to get home, so I don't blame him. Completely avoidable if common sense was used applied, afterall if the train driver could see our legs there were possibly bigger issues .

He also got a management qualification to help him transition into more of a director role prior to being appointed. At the time it was nice to have someone involved who you could expect to put the club first unlike your Arry types.

What needs to be remembered as well is that a lot of clubs didn't have a DoF at that point, so people with experience were few and far between, so we'd have likely been giving whoever we appointed their first crack at the job. The other end of the scale is that we may have ended up so with someone who interviews well or embellishes their CV who's just trying to get their foot in the door to move on at the first opportunity (Mick Beale style).

Not saying he was perfect but I think he was a safe bet and did what was needed initially to reduce the wage bill.

To be fair they've started to address the issue: "Figure 7: Visualisation of medical buggy storage". All they need to do is link this area to the M4 with an on-ramp so we can take them directly to hospital and it will be one of the busiest junctions in London.

Wasn't those other deals leaked with similar numbers and then when it came to the accounts it turned out to be much less? I'm with those that are amazed if we got anything for him after his season here then what sounded like a poor season on loan.

I'm not sure who it benefits to have these numbers out there, does it benefit QPR to look like we're flush with money from player sales? We're told letting contract lengths be known is giving away a competitive advantage, but for some reason inflated values for transfers seem to be routinely leaked.

I appreciate he's got a job to do and he has the right to ask those questions but at the time of the interview Bellingham doesn't know what the criticism is because the manager has not talked to the team yet about the performance and what he wants them to do better. So without that knowledge, how does he expect him to respond? That's why it comes across poorly in my opinion as it's probably something better to address to the players once they've reviewed the game, not on the pitch straight after.

I notice there's ongoing reports about a split in the dressing room which started from after that game but it's mad (and unacceptable) that people are upset to the point that they've issued death threats.

Agreed, it's fine to ask those questions but Bellingham doesn't know what the criticism is because the manager has not talked to the team yet about the performance and what he wants them to do better. They've not been back to the dressing room and the interview was on the pitch. So without that knowledge, how does he expect him to respond? That's why it comes across to me as stirring rather than a genuine question.

I did wonder with the post match interviews whether the snide question to Bellingham about what Tuchel said was a reaction to Tuchels handling of his interview.

I think he was right as well, the mentality was there to drag a win out when we weren't necessarily playing well but the interviewer perhaps wanted to paint it that the players had a poor attitude. With friends like that...

I think I'm in the same camp as you on this one. For me there's no statue of limitations on lying, if he has been happy to lie to the fans, from the start (and so blatantly) then it will forever be relevant to what his saying because how can you trust someone like that? So I think Hunter is right to point it out in relation to any new statements from him despite people wishing we'd all just forget those lies.

I'm also concerned about the narrative that we'll be better placed to judge him at the end of next season, feels like that was said last season as well. This time last year we were told that the development squad was proof that his methods were working and just needed more time, now we're supposed to believe that the guy leading that team didn't buy into his methods (ya know, data and stuff that we definitely weren't already using with Belk) so had to go, so are we now saying that success was due to Furlong not following his methods? Seems to want his cake and eat it.

I can understand that people see this as personal because we're literally singling out one person but it's been described as "vitriol" when we're only contrasting what we're being told against what actually happened, which seems a tad over the top. But if you support the club and want it to succeed then you need to question these things and not just take what he's telling you at face value because he's potentially wasting another large pot of money from Eze on mediocrity.

Doesn't seem an efficient use of our resources, especially if the idea of hiring a head coach rather than a manager is that they coach the players they have to do what they need.

I think it's a shame to lose his experience, versatility and defensive instincts, I fear with our budget we're going to struggle to find a younger player with all that and can contribute goals and assists but hopefully they have someone lined up who can hit the ground running.

I don't really understand what part scares you, the fact the child wants to be recognised as a cat or the fact the teacher supported it. All seems fairly trivial to my untrained eye.

What I find more troublesome is people like Andrew Tate who have a reach of millions of people through social media and identity as misogynist and share content that impression young men and make young girls lives more dangerous. There were polls that showed he's very well known amongst under 16 males, so any legislation that will help protect them from this kind of influence would help. Coincidentally you also have data saying that domestic abuse cases increase when England play by between 26-38% depending on the the result.

Hate to be a pedant (I've probably been around here too long now that you all know that's not true) but Walsh definitely played in the Charlton Home game after Coventry rather than Nardi. I remember because the guy sat in front of me kept making substitution gestures to the bench when Walsh had the ball, which started to come of as vindictive after we'd made all our allowed subs.

So this sentence from the second paragraph on Nardi should read:
"Nardi was then part of some ship steadying through September, winning his first two games back between the sticks (Stoke H, Wrexham A) and going unbeaten in his first five"

Also under Walsh:
It’s a shame really that he got injured when he did, because Julian Stéphan rightly kicked the bloody game model into touch and went more direct the week after against Charlton which would have done Walsh the world of good – Paul Nardi subsequently went unbeaten in his first five league appearances in his stead. - Technically he got to win at Charlton before Nardi went on 5 unbeaten run which like you say was more to do with our change of style than changing goalkeeper but Walsh's stats would look better if he'd have been fit for them.

Thing is, Southampton either cheated and deserved to be thrown out, in which case the team they cheated shouldn't be punished for losing to a team that's cheating. Or it wasn't cheating and they should play in the final, but the EFL have decided it was, so why punish Middlesbrough for losing to a team that cheated.

I know a title is still a big thing but I can't help but think Celtic are a bit embarrassing for wanting it so much when on budgets and all other metrics they shouldn't even have any other challenges.

I think we need competition for the No.1 spot, whilst saying the spot is yours whatever happens may settle some nerves for Walsh in his first full season, it can't continue indefinitely. He was below the standard required this season so we should look for a replacement with more experience. On that basis his options should be to go and get that experience and come back to fight for his spot the following season or if that's unacceptable to him he should be looking for a permanent move.

What wouldn't help anyone is bringing in a better keeper (which we should be looking to do) and Walsh sitting on the bench for a full season here. Cooper has gone and got the experience that arguably puts him in a better position to fight for the No.1 spot against any new arrival than Walsh. He may not like that, but that should be his challenge to overcome to earn his place.
