Wednesday's third goal
at 16:51 22 Apr 2024

Obviously true but would he not be guilty of stopping a goal scoring opportunity no different from a defender handling on the line. I’ve often wondered about this generally if a keeper handles from a back pass that stops the ball going over the line. Maybe the fact it is only penalised by an indirect free kick changes the situation.

Are we staying up?

Wish I could agree. Before the Wednesday game i was sure we would stay up. But we have had so many chances to pull clear and then fell short.

Alternatively Preston nothing to lose just enjoy yourselves. Our lot must win under pressure. I know who I would back.

The referee was bloody awful.
at 15:26 7 Apr 2024

Really agree with that. We know how poor referees are but as you say other teams seem to be able to take advantage of it. It’s almost like they check out the referee before the game whereas we do not.

“ If you'd have asked fans if we would like to be four points clear of relegation zone with 5 games to go when Marti took over I'm pretty sure everyone would say yes.”

Of course we would but you have to take into account where we were at the time. Yesterday we had the chance to pull clear the fact we did not take it and put in such an abject performance gives a different perspective to being 4 points clear.

Sorry if I misunderstood but I read your post to say the while Leicester or any team were in the Premier League the FL could take those years as being in the Championship once they were relegated

Why should any club have to adhere to rules applicable to a different league.

Major FFP Reforms coming
at 16:56 18 Mar 2024

Football is no longer a lottery. When FFP was introduced certain clubs had already spent a lot of money and in effect pulled up the drawbridge. Many others had bigger stadiums than others and thus bigger incomes. Many were one city clubs with all that entails. Only once in the last ten seasons has the three promoted clubs from the championship not included at least one with parachute payments. . Over the last five seasons that rises to to two with parachute payments. In effect we are quickly moving to a close shop, the twenty teams in the Premier League and the three recently relegated. That's what FFP aided by the Premier League has done.

Does This Ref Get The First Ever Zero Rating From Clive .

There are so many mistakes by referees in the FL that if VAR was introduced either it would quietly not be used fro every mistake or games will last for hours. In either case VAR would embarrass the FL so doubt it will be introduced.

Quote from the Independent

"Yet those figures barely scratch the surface of Bowles’ talent – think Lionel Messi playing with a cigarette in one hand, a lager top in the other and a copy of the Racing Post sticking out of his back pocket."

Rest in Peace Stan. I had the pleasure of watching Rodney and Stan in the hoops. I did not think Rodney could be replaced how wrong I was. Stan Bowles one in a million.

My point. Surely if convicted then straight to prison. Not allowed back to the UK. Also 1 year plus 1 suspended seems pretty lenient for smashing somebodies skull.

Just had my renewal and it has gone up 65%. No claims in the last 5 years and am hardly a boy racer. Tried Direct Line, Aviva and Admiral. Thought my age would suit Saga but they were the most expensive. Looked on comparison sites but nowhere could I get a better quote. Methinks there is a cartel developing.
