At least he didn't ask if he should take his pants off!

Hopefully these images don't cause offence, but this reminded me of the incident back in the day when we beat Wednesday 3-2 in a meaningless end of season match up, what was this guy thinking? - https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/picturegalleries/5154439/Queens-Park-Rangers-s

If using Sky Go, you might be able to use a VPN (virtual private network) to make the system think you are on the internet in the UK. I am pretty sure I have done this in the past, but others might have more recent experience.

Gob Brummin is a comin - a QPR match thread
at 17:19 29 Mar 2024

Live text doesn't really do it justice "Goal! Queens Park Rangers 2, Birmingham City 1. Jimmy Dunne (Queens Park Rangers) left footed shot from outside the box to the top left corner."

Wish I could have been there - stuck on a work conference call and had to keep my trap shut. Was difficult! But chuffed for everyone and for all at the stadium, sure it will be a moment you never forget :-)

BBC Quiz - QPR Player Question

Indeed. But I must admit I guessed Sir Les and Tricky Trev first! Super Kevin Gallen was a brilliant player when he came through. Hopefully nobody put down the Hammersmith Horse :-)

BBC Quiz - QPR Player Question
at 15:22 21 Mar 2024

I came across this quiz - asks you to get all players in Premier League history who had 10 goals and assists in a season. 1 QPR player made it from 30 years ago!!! https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/68362882

I am sure 90%+ of you will get there faster than me!

Will we ever have another Stan
at 22:04 25 Feb 2024

I never got to see Stanley Bowles play, but I know the legend and have heard from my dad how what you see on the TV doesn't do him justice. I have been lucky enough to see Taarabt and Eze, but they left too early for me to be fully invested in them for ever, although I still want to see Eze do great wherever he goes.

In my lifetime, I guess the closest I have had are Sir Les (the player) and Martin Rowlands, two great players in their own way who played with us for a while, but not the maverick who could pull crowds in on his own (or the proverbial, I would pay to see him play).

I hope we have another like him one day, but sadly I doubt it - not many stay that long and even fewer are allowed to be gifted and mercurial today. A legend - I hope for those of us too young, we can soon have more!

FA Cup History question
at 19:02 6 Jan 2024

Thanks everyone. 42 years and counting I guess then.

Shame, I had some hope at half time but corners 🤦

One silver lining for next year. We are unlikely to extend our record setting 52 exits at the 3rd round stage

FA Cup History question
at 11:12 6 Jan 2024

Going to match today, first FA Cup match in 10+ years! But depressingly not seen us win one for 27 years when Sinclair scored THAT goal.

The question I had though, when was the last time that we beat a team in the division above us in the FA Cup? Guessing some time in the 80s? Been beaten by a lot of teams below us (Vauxhall cars still make me wince)

Linington - can he ref us every week?
at 23:27 28 Nov 2023

I was there tonight. These matches are why we go despite all the turgid rubbish we have to put up with. But as I looked at Clive's ref report again, it made me worried again. Our last three home victories have all come with Mr Linington in charge!

I thought the decisions were about right today (I am sure Alex Neil will give his view), but hopefully we CAN win with another ref. Anyway, sorry for spoiling the fun - but I won't have a voice tomorrow. After Stoke's second went in, I really thought our season was going. I thought the season was on the line and we did deserve to win - with 11 vs 11, we should have been well ahead with our chances.

Typical QPR - makes my ticker work hard for every inch of glory!

De Canio Mark 2

Sorry if a Spackman, but around this time of year 16 years ago we appointed a random manager who brought us some mad but great football, bringing ournsome of the best of Buzasky, Vine and amazingly Agyemang. If Cifuentes can do the same for Chair, Willock and Armstrong/Dykes, then maybe we can dare to dream......?

Just watched this, thanks. But the reference to Rushden made me feel old. More than 20 years ago now, I remember watching those goals - still gives me the goosebumps :-)

I LOVE it when we beat Cardiff
at 22:32 12 Aug 2023

I haven't followed QPR as long as some on here. But Cardiff hold a special place on the circles of hell for me. Obviously the scars of 2002/03 and Andy Campbell, Rob Earnshaw and Tommy "Square It" Williams will never leave me. Since then, we have had redemption. Danny Shittu's winner (a bigger weekend for me in lots of ways), loads of away wins, Adel Taarabt and Pouty Dave Jones. But if you could offer me a win over any team in this league currently, it remains Cardiff. Thankyou again my Rs!

I cant find any videos of Samba against Fulham. This should be there.

But this one from the 82 semis still makes me squirm and I was barely alive

Lower School End
at 22:12 2 May 2023

Thanks everyone. Probably going to try it - biggest concern is the rain. Plus I have always heard the away end seating is cramped, but I am sure it will beat the old wooden seats in the away end at Ashton Gate 15/20 years ago (yep, I was there for Damien Stewart's goal - one of THOSE moments after watching Murray's screamer in front of us a couple of minutes earlier)

Lower School End
at 22:42 1 May 2023

I am looking at tickets for next Monday with my son. I see Lower School End is one of the places available with two tickets next to each other, but the only one with tickets near the pitch - what do people think about there? I find the idea of sitting in the away end strange, although I know we have done it for quite a few seasons now! Any thoughts appreciated, otherwise will probably end up in SAR stands. Thanks!

Cheering me up
at 19:14 26 Mar 2023

It's international weekend and I miss league football, it does not feel quite whole, even though we are rubbish the last few months. Still to cheer me up, I thought I would share one of the greatest own goals I ever saw live - I hope Clive remembers to include this Andy Pearce own goal in the Coventry match preview - it might be the kind of thing we need to go our way! I remember being there for this one and being almost as stunned as when Trev scored that bicycle kick against Barnsley! I still don't get how this went in :-)

Matches that NEVER happened or are #Cancelled
at 18:40 9 Oct 2022

Like a lot of people, I imagine, I am pleasantly surprised by how well we are playing this season. If Lyndon can take Friday's match and get on one of his confident runs, then we have a shout - striker position otherwise remains a worry to me.

On a totally separate note, I was looking through Clive's Reading history (a bit late I know). I see that the away match at Reading in 2012/13 is #Cancelled as it is not listed in the results. I assume that there are other similar matches that have been #Cancelled from our history

In my time as a fan, I vote for Cardiff at the Millennium and Swansea in the FA Cup 1st round (I didn't watch the Car Mechanics). As for the first match I ever watched on the telly in 1986......

Worst signings - The Times
at 08:45 12 Aug 2022

I couldnt agree more! All the signings with the Ferdinand money were pretty dreadful. Zelic (versatile as an egg), Osborn who wouldnt play if Wilkins was fit enough to play himself and Jurgen Sommer who was the wrong Yank to buy (should have gone for Friedel!).

I still have shivers when I think about Hateley being paraded as our new hero at a match (can't remember which) holding crutches. It did not inspire confidence that he would be the saviour. I am sure we would never have signed him had he not been friends with the manager.

It was a sad end to our Premier League stay although admittedly he did have huge boots to fill after Sir Les
