Spot on. Unless there's a fundamental overhaul of the backroom staff (looking at you bicycle Ben) and some new found ambition to toughen up (both physically and mentally) and cease rolling over for the bigger boy opponents we've got about as much chance of avoiding a relegation battle as I have of becoming the WBO Middleweight Champion. Doesn't matter who we sign / sell. As I pointed out on a match thread recently, we get bummed in the gob, concede 70 plus goals every season etc whether Cook, Dunne and the much lauded Field are in team or not. Apologies, think last season has smashed even my usually positive, upbeat view of our beloved club to bits. |

Absolutely this. Even if you take the whole CN / Bicycle Ben farce out of the equation something has been 'off' for years. From a player / squad perspective, the recent stats says it all really. Even with the much lauded Field, Cook, Dunne in various match day line ups we still get bummed, we still concede 70 plus goals etc etc. Terribly negative I know but can't see how next season will be any different unfortunately. |

Funnily enough they're playing this summer in a park in Walton on Thames for some reason. The Coral, Sleeper and Happy Mondays also on the bill. Anyway I like Supergrass and its just down the road from me so I'm going. Gotta be better than watching the he hoops get bummed in the gob away at Southampton. |

"if you can’t enjoy this, what's the point? It’s only football, and it’s meant to be fun." Quite, some of the posts on the match thread had me wondering about my own sanity and if I had actually just witnessed a 6-1 victory. And if there was ever a match proving stats really are a load of bollox it was this one. Roll on Watford. [Post edited 23 Mar 11:19]

My (now) 20 year old daughter insisted we go to this very fixture two seasons ago despite my insistence it's likely to be a bum gobbing and it'll be a miserable drive home. As of course we all know we ended up winning and one of the best away days I'd ever been to. So it CAN happen, fingers crossed for you and for us all. |

Not sure what JS can do to mitigate and / or prevent Varane (for example) passing the ball straight to an opponent to score. As mentioned elsewhere on this thread the players have to take responsibility sometimes FFS. |
