Ephraim on promotion, Hughes, Redknapp… and Bond — Interview
at 09:43:04

Right up there with the best football stories I’ve read. Me, I loved Hogan in The Hoops, and that goal he scored at The Loft End v Boro, I heard the boom!!! at the back of the Upper Loft... buzzing I was for both the goal & Hogan.
The lockdown Saturday night QPR quiz, when Hogan was the host that was the first time I realised what an incredibly intelligent interesting man Hogan is, he really got the attention of myself & my wife. It wasn’t just his love of QPR which was more than apparent, it was how he expressed himself, how he interacted with the Rangers fan base... he was so cool and laidback, sort of like the Jamaican bob-sleigh team in the film ‘Cool Runnings’😜
Anyway I’m rambling, if you’re reading this Hogan I’d just like to say... it was my pleasure to see you wear The Hoops, absolute quality player.
If my ageing memory serves me correct, you scored the first goal in our 0-3 win at Bramall Lane at the start of that incredible Championship winning season — The highs, too many to name that the team gave us, Derby, Barnsley, Watford away... Ishmael’s late winning goal at home to Leicester, need a book to write them all... and of course the points deduction Faurlingate Saga, I will take them all to my grave as the best ever time in all my 50 years as a devoted follower of Queens Park Rangers FC.

Thank you Hogan from the bottom of my heart, and thank you for reeling in the (singular) Brentford fan on Twitter🤭, never knew Charlie & Wayne we’re in on the act, made the wind-up even more hilarious!
Clive... excellent article as always, just when I think you can’t better the last write up, you go and pull another rabbit out of the hat👍

Thank you Clive for a very accurate and brilliant article on this FFP on going farce - Without throwing all my toys out, I find it questionable that West Ham get away Scott-Free over the Carlos Tevez situation that saved them from relegation, and yet QPRFC and our fan base were dragged through the mire, getting all the pain, sorrow, and crap re a points deduction, over Ale Faurlingate during our Championship title win.... OK, Rangers didn’t in the end get slapped with a fine or a points deduction, allthesame, it was a bit like being told by a Dr that you may have a life threatening cancer, and then living with that awful mind blowing situation for the next 6 months.
There has been much wrong done at QPR during the Hughes and Harry reign, rightly so Clive you point the finger of blame equally at CEO Beard, the proverbial rat who left the sinking ship on a multi million £££ yacht!!
Rant over..... bring on the Wolves.

Ollie on transfers, cup exits, Gary Penrice and Bruce Forsyth - Interview
at 13:57:41

Can't fault Ollie for his commitment, enthusiasm and passion for the game... sometimes I just wish he'd sink the clutch before engaging the gear, because as often or not it tends to be a nasty grinding noise that comes out of his mouth, making us cringe.
For example, we lost away to Brentford last season, during his post match comments he said.. "I want us to play like them, their wingers can play the ball blind, that's how I want us to play" As far as I'm concerned, that comment was a insult to our fan base, Brentford maybe an up and coming side, yes they deserved to turn Rangers over that day, we just didn't need Ollie adding his insult to our wounds.!
Then Wolves at home, Ollies post match comments about our supporters after losing 0-1 to them, and I quote Ollie... " Where's the der der der der (beating his chest) where are they"? That was a poxy Thursday night fixture, yes the gate was particularly low, but he has to realise that our supporters have jobs, football is an entertainment that has changed dramatically over the past decade.... much of it down to Sky TV, no more 3pm Saturday, no more 7.30pm Tuesday night. By that I'm saying.... the goal posts have been moved, and are being moved everyday for us as supporters, we can't plan games in advance anymore. One minute your going away to Barnsley for a 3pm Saturday game, then BINGO Sky bring it forward to a 7.45pm Friday night job, we can't plan for that, and the majority of QPR supporters can't make the game.... not Ollies fault, or the fault of QPRFC, but when IH slates off our support for the lack of support for a damn Thursday night game, only moved because Sky lost their European TV rights to BT Sport.... me I say, just think on a bit Ollie before you lambast the supporters who want to support the team, but can't cos of fixture movements.!
Other than that rant..... l'm very at ease, and supportive with the way the structure of QPR is being set up, I'd love a proper new training ground with all the facilities that such a place would provide, that is vital for QPR to be able to compete with Southampton, Cardiff, Reading and so on, even Burton have state of the art facilities to train in, by using the England St George's Park ground.
As I said, the training area has to be top of the list for QPR to progress, till then QPR will always be looking our their shoulders at clubs who are no better than us, but with their state of the art training facility will always be able to tempt new signing to join them over QPR.
