No wonder Lumley got the nickname’Dracula’ as a youth team player! Even back then, people could see he was afraid of crosses 🙄

For me, given what I've witnessed over the last two home games, the only real formation that will suit our style of play and fit our current crop of players is 3-5-2. This allows the following;

* Two strikers - Wells needs Hugil and vice-versa
* A three man midfield - if we are to persit with Cameron and Scowen, Eze MUST play in the 10!
* Three at the back - Leistner only plays well when in a three
* Wing Backs - we need width and Manning generally performs better when at a LFB

I feel people's reaction may have been different had we drawn this game after being so comfortably in front. Soon, one of Lumley's brain farts will prove costly; at the minute, he seems to be getting away with a lot 😏

Apologies if this has already been covered (been down in the ground for the past 3 weeks!) but has there been an update on the likes of Amos, Cameron, etc?

Cheers

Eze..is he actually any good?
at 13:57 20 Feb 2019

The last few games (Bristol, Watford and West Brom) have proved a number of things...

1) The 3-5-2 certainly suits us and we look better in terms of shape this way
2) Eze playing alongside Wells is a MUST - he will link the play a lot better than Smith can and stop us going long too often!
3) By playing Eze in this formation, he doesn't need to defend and will bring out the class in Wells, who wants through balls and passes into him, rather than hoping the odd flick on will come off!

That said - massive pat on the back to Smith for his effort and endeavour in the last few matches, but I think he needs a rest and should be our option B not A

Hell NO!!

It's a shame with Ingram, as he came to us with reasonably high expectations but just fills me with dread every time he plays!

You have to wonder though what the keeper coaches see day in day out and what they work on in training? Surely it isn't just us fans that can pin-point certain weaknesses?

As for Smithies - what a blow, especially as he's just sitting at Cardiff warming the bench

I really hope the lad makes it, but at the minute can someone tell me what his positives are, as I'm struggling to see them?

Last night showed again he will not come for crosses and command his six yard box (despite his size and presence) and although City's equaliser was a neat goal, he flopped to his knees (similar to Birmingham's 4th) instead of attempting a standard dive?

I know he's young and learning and lord I want him to succeed but it worries me a little that we only have him and Ingram on the books now

Just been watching the Debate and the moron host said:

"Take a look at those illustrious clubs he (Wilkins) has played for, well the top few at least!"

Needless to say, little old QPR were bottom of that list. How do people stay in a job? That truly offended me 😡

To top it off, the Champions League show on ITV didn't even bother mentioning us? I don't want this to become about QPR but let's get the bloody facts right? 175 appearances in a team that would dick over Scum and always hold their own against an untouchable Utd side.

To be fair, if I was offered anything in excess of £50,000 for a year's service at the Scum at the age of 37 I would bite their hand off; then when I did finally get on the pitch and score, would reveal a Guinness home shirt from underneath my main jersey!

I wonder if more than 11 odd thousand supporters would have turned up if we were playing Chelsea last night and how many would have left at 2-0?

Just curious like...

Dare I say it, but should we loose to Brentford on Monday (and we're on Sky so it's a banker we will) could the club make a knee jerk reaction and give what the Facebook trolls want and part with Ollie?

I'm one of Ollie's biggest fans, but his team selection last night was puzzling? Still, he works with them day in day out so what do I know?!

Our best ever passer of the ball?
at 16:51 16 Oct 2017

I thought Wilkins and Taarabt before I opened the thread!

Adel was something else, would find a pass through the eye of a needle and that was after beating two players and probably demonstrating a nut-meg to boast!

Paul Merson jizzed his pants on Soccer Saturday saying he'd just witnessed the best assist ever by De Bruyne... Mr Merson, I urge you to Google 'Adel vs. Coventry for Wayne Routledge!'

Poor in the first half? Really?

I wasn't able to make Saturday due to holiday but for the first time in a while I saw us trying to play the right way and through the midfield. Sure, things didn't come off, but at least we were trying to be positive.

As predicted, Millwall turned up and made it difficult for us. We had to come up with a plan B and C which meant getting the ball wide as often as possible and flooding the box. It worked and we got a draw; should have taken all three points but there you go!

As for the negativity, it's not even worth logging on at times; some people (especially those on Facebook) need to have a day off, or at least if you're gonna post a comment about the game, try and be there to watch it first!
