Trains look crap tomorrow for anyone coming up through either Woking or Guildford, with both having bus replacements.
Currently showing a very limited service and a journey time of over 3 hours for what is usually an hour. |

Mate of mine went to the Chelsea game on Sunday and, because it was his birthday, he did the stadium tour before hand. When taken pitch side there was a large camouflaged cage just being removed. Apparently they have a local fox that sneaks into the ground every night and takes a dump on the pitch.
Certainly something a lot of us would aspire to doing ourselves and I've taken the liberty of naming it the Qpr Fox. |

Sitting on the overground Saturday morning on the way to the Millwall game. On comes a mid twenties lad wearing a very nice Guinness home top, we nod to each other and he sits opposite. He pulls out his phone, at which point even my wife spotted the problem.
His phone had a Chelsea case with a picture of Ngolo Kante!
Now, unless there was a Chelsea fan on the platform, crying that some big Qpr boy had taken his phone off him, I am struggling to understand how this can be? |

And it's good news.
Woke up this morning having seen the league table following next weekend.
After the next 2 games we have 4 more points.
As the league table was also showing us having dropped a position, I know that we won away to Norwich and then picked a point for drawing the next.
We must also have been playing the sexy Johann Cruyff football he keeps talking about as I had a massive hard on too! |

Just had a call from a financial adviser.
He is currently sorting out the mortgage for a Premiership footballer and wondered if we had any markets for home insurance for professional sportsmen.
'Who is it ?' I asked
'I'd prefer not to disclose that at this stage'
'Who does he play for?' was my next question
'Chelsea' he replied.
'Sorry, I can't help you, we don't want that sort of business' |

Already resigned to getting absolutely no work done at all today.
And with tomorrows trains strike making it difficult to get home after the game, I'm currently 50/50 on not bothering and watching the golf all day instead.
Got a mate who's gone out there and got tickets for all 3 days. Don't think I've ever been more envious of someone in life.
And we really need to introduce that Iceland Clap ! |

By way of distraction from the football, wanted to share this with you.
Was by the back door on Sunday morning, when all the birds in the garden started screeching. Looked round to a cloud of feathers and what looked like a sparrow hawk on steroids standing over a pigeon with it's foot on its throat. On looking it up, turns out it was a Peregrine Falcon and that we have actually got a breeding project for them here in Woking. Who knew ?
