The F uck sky Luton match thread!
at 21:40 19 Nov 2021

Ref is a div. At least we're the net beneficiaries this time given the flow of the game. Happy for Chaz.

As much as the defence has been solid, Luton lack sharpness and quality up front. A piece like Dewsbury-Hall is missing for them and has masked our issues.

We have so much more surety with Field. It's a combo that might permit a bit more structure going forward and back over the coming months. Chair/Willock roaming freelance is a pleasure sometimes but could definitely be made more efficient in terms of chance creation for more difficult games.

Interesting to see Dozzell/Jojo liberated as 8s. There was systematically effective combination play around the boxes from August that we have been living without for months. This was the 'fluency' Warbs mentioned earlier in the week. Crossed fingers this can return.

Feels like we can make a step-change in quality with Field/Wallace/Amos back in business in New Year. Very curious to see what Les/Warbs might try and add in Jan.

Very happy for the lad.

Saw from his twitter that his dad? passed away quite suddenly recently.

Note the fat donations from Warbs, Chris Ramsey, Lee Hoos, Ruben. Couldn't be happier that these guys run this club.

Hope Les gets the plaudits he deserves. MW establishing clarity in what was needed for the squad is essential of course. Not to mention the wider recruitment team.

But he’s kept fees low, shown tenacity and patience in the trickier negotiations (johansen), as well as persuasion towards those stepping down a level (Dunne, Gray). Never mind securing loans for all younger players, and departures for *everyone* (even Kane, hamalainen) To have not one bit of deadwood in the squad given Covid’s effect on the market, with our club history... astonishingly good work.

Clearly become a top drawer dof at this level.

Kane or Kakay
at 18:50 1 May 2021

Dade is not often found tooting his own proverbial trumpet but...

I am delighted that Mr Warbs Warburton saw fit to pass on my communiqué from last week to young Osman in advance of this afternoon's fixture.

His finely taken strike was a case study in 'visualisation', mindful pre-meditation, and composure.

Given such rapid success in intermediate 'nerve-purifying' ashtanga techniques, I look forward with keen anticipation to seeing the young fellow elevate his practice, and start to incorporate the advanced 'steady strength' of sthira bhaga. This would help engender an assiduous focus on defensive concentration and positioning.

If he might be persuaded to trade Mykonos for a spiritual retreat with guidance from master practioners this June, Dade would consider the lad a shoo-in for POTY 21/22.

Kane or Kakay

Kakay has good physical attributes, decent skill on the ball... and barrels around like a headless chicken on ice skates.

Is there a player behind the crashing waves of adrenaline? Might Ossie harness his tremendous energies with more accuracy? Can he furnish his presently steep fluctuations in composure with a calmer pattern of consciousness and a measured structure for decision-making?

I shall be writing to Mr Warburton to recommend the lad enlist in extra training. He must begin a dual practice in Ashtanga Yoga and Zen - and thus turn to attune his perseverant soul towards the pathway to bodily and spiritual awareness and harmony.

With steely calm he will be transubstantiated into ‘the Kilburn Cafu’.
