At last...Hughes halo slipping....
at 08:38 8 Oct 2018

Not that I'm angrily obsessed by the media's Hughes love-in or anything (like many on here)...but this from the BBC website made me smile:

Did keeping Southampton up mask Hughes' indifferent record?
Mark Hughes ensured Southampton stayed in the Premier League last season, but his record since taking charge at St Mary's makes for grim reading.

Since his appointment in March, the Saints have lost nine of their 16 Premier League games - only Newcastle have been beaten more times (10).

In fact, Southampton are second bottom of the table if you look at all the results since he took over - his side have taken just 13 points from his 16 games at the helm - only Huddersfield have claimed fewer points (9).

Worst Premier League records since Mark Hughes took over at Southampton in March 2018
Team Games Wins Draws Losses Points
Watford 15 5 3 7 18
Newcastle United 16 4 2 10 14
Brighton and Hove Albion 16 3 5 8 14
Southampton 16 3 4 9 13
Huddersfield 15 1 6 8 9

Brighton away - just a thought

So we've sold out (well when I got mine 20 minutes ago, that left 5).

We've lost 5 on the spin, we seem to be in chaos, it's an early kick off after one of the booziest days of the year, and it's live on TV.

But we've still sold out. That's fantastic.

So I've got an's a bit radical but I'm hoping it might just catch on. Why don't we sing all game? That's right, ALL game. 95 minutes. And why not make every song positive? (ie none of that "we're fkin $hit" malarkey). Why don't we all agree not to boo, slag off players / management / board...just a good old fashioned sing song down 'Sussex by the sea'.

You never might just prove to be more fun than spitting bile from the first misplaced pass...and it might, just MIGHT, help the team.
Reds got the blues at Forest....

With our annual visit to not win at the City Ground imminent, this is worth a many parts of this well written piece where you could substitute 'QPR' for Forest....or any number of Championship / League 1 clubs tbh....
