Unfortunately too many have been down to him. A defence needs to be confident in the keeper behind them neither Walsh or Nardi, with his weakness on crosses, provide the necessary assurance. Walsh May improve, age is on his side but he is not ready to be the number one, in a championship side, at this stage of his career. They need to bite the bullet and bring one in who is. |

Nourry should have been able to answer the question at the meeting. If the club chose to justify their decision to up the prices ,in the way that they did , by claiming abuse it should have been obvious that they would be asked to provide details of such skullduggery at a meeting with fan representatives.. No reason they couldn’t have gone down the route of just dealing with those that broke the rules first before hitting those who played by them unless it is simply about bringing in more income. If that is the real reason he should have just said so rather than pinning it on the abuse angle. [Post edited 15 May 23:45]

Unfortunately, if he did make that decision it would be to a lower division team - no championship team will take him as their number 1 in my opinion. |

At the moment he is not commanding enough, does not organise his defence as a goalkeeper should parries/fumbles balls that he should hold and his distribution is not great. He really should have gone out on loan to gain the necessary experience. His being put in the number one slot before he is ready is not his fault but he does not inspire confidence with his performances. Goalkeepers mature later than most outfield positions and you have to be something special to shine when young and unfortunately he is not. Nourry needs to accept that and bite the bullet and bring in an experienced keeper - it is a key position especially in the championship - it’s nothing against Walsh but you can’t hide between the sticks or be covered by others like outfield players can be. Just seen Nardi’s interview in which in my opinion they turn into an attempt to justify the decision to play Walsh and get Nardi to big up Walsh’s ability. The wrong place in my view and not respectful to Nardi at all People will judge for themselves the ability of both keepers not impressed. |

I’ve no personal knowledge of what’s going on - that said having been in enough teams that have had tot train I have seen players that respond to not being selected by impressing day in day out and get their chance - but I have also seen players who even when they do train hard are regularly overlooked and then lose motivation because of it. What puzzles me with this relationship is how he goes from being in the side to not even making the bench compared to other less able players - can his attitude be really that bad on a week by week basis to cause that swing in match day inclusion.. We’ve had our share of gifted players that do not come across as workaholics and the team has looked the better for their being given sufficent game time. One Mr Taarabt springs to mind - wonder if he would have been given sufficient time under this regime. |

More of a problem was the player that didn’t go for the ball that led to that break - think it was Vale - just as guilty in my view as Smith.Thought both Vale and Morgan shied away from the physical side of the game yesterday. Midfield didn’t turn up yesterday. |

Linesman was on the other side of the field - all down to ref. Simple old rule if there is doubt don’t give it - very poor decision. |

Unfortunate first goal and shocking penalty decision aside pathetic midfield showing. Hayden not the player he was and Morgan and Vale simply not good enough. Add to that Walsh’s inability to gather the ball cleanly at least it showed what needs to be changed next season. |

Not a question of looking for scapegoats but the first twenty minutes was totally unacceptable. The first goal was totally avoidable on a Sunday morning let alone championship level. If I had been Walsh both Vale and Morgan would have got a right verbal earful. There have been too many times this season when,as a team, they have not turned up until the bus has gone. Nothing to do with talent just attitude. Several players clearly aren’t good enough at this level , others are simply not consistent enough. As for the manager the jury is still out for me but thus far his first season anywhere has been his best and that doesn’t fill me with much optimism. |

Agree with you that he’s been a very steady Eddie and has helped tighten up the left side but nowhere near the class of David Bardsley in my opinion. Amongst other things Bardsley could cross a ball far better than RND and read the game more whilst playing against a far higher class of opponent. As to whether he’s the future it’s a tough call and I’d rather wait and see who else is available in the summer. |

It was a good effort from Brian but like others I would have liked him to have pushed back harder on some of the answers he was given. It’s not unusual for people like Nourry to say yes to ‘safe’ interviewers who they know will not push them too far with challenging questions or then press them into having to answer more probing follow ups. Rather than Hunter I would have liked to see another of our supporters Nick De Marco in a room with him to see how he would have handled that situation. I’m sure we would have seen a different side of Christian Nourry. The only plus for me was the strategy on loan players. [Post edited 28 Mar 21:42]

Is the plan really working? - focuses on two young players who are not played regularly - interviewer trying to paint a picture that apart from the last poor patch the season has gone well. It leaves you with the feeling that very little is going to change and that poor performances are to be expected and that there is very little ambition to do anything other than produce the odd diamond - I can’t recall the last so I’m not holding my breath on finding another. Inconsistency is one thing but having to watch performances like the ones over the last couple of months is a completely different ball game. |

What worries me is that we knew from the moment of signing him RND - that he was unable to play against the Blades. Even allowing for the injuries to play the Brazilian youngster and Saito on the same side of the field was management naievity of the highest order in my opinion. It wasn’t that he only knew 10 minutes before kick off. There were other combinations that made much more sense. They are a physical side and have been for years . Even without the injuries I did not think we were good enough for the play offs but our non playing side leaves me with very little confidence in getting any better any time soon |

Reality is that you won’t have to worry about being in the mix at the end of the season. As has been said elsewhere he is the best goal scorer we have had in a Rangers shirt since Charlie Austin. All decent strikers miss golden chances but it is how many of them that they actually score that make them that little bit different. He will get far more than he misses - as for a top six finish by the team this season they are too inconsistent to achieve that. |
