They’re tweeting that their “matchday operations” are being restricted for the home game against Barrow on Sunday for reasons that they don’t want to divulge at the moment.
The bottom line is that the crowd capacity is limited to 920 and there will be no cash admissions on the day.
Wonder what that’s all about?

That sign was up on Tuesday.

Has nobody from Hornets (including Mazey / Kerr) been there during the week? Especially after making much noise about needing a very specific office space? Why wait until now to raise it? & why do it so publicly?

Some of the tweets being 'liked' by Mazey are ridiculous & inflammatory.

I might be alone in this but I do think this is a bit disrespectful to Hornets. They might’ve been caddish to us in the past or recently, but to me this just seems a bit snide and not in the spirit of Rochdalian cooperation.

I was at the ground on Friday picking my tickets up when 2 young lads
came in wanting to buy tickets for the Hornets match today.
The lady in the ticket office told them that Hornets were now based in one
of the boxes. The lads looked confused so a Dale Director took them upstairs
to, I'm guessing, the right box, as they came back down with a Hornets person
who hopefully sorted the tickets for the lads.
Not the actions that are portrayed of Dale Directors that don't want them there.
Seemed quite the opposite as he was trying to ensure these 2 lads got their
tickets and are able to enjoy the match today.

Am I going to get my head chewed off if I suggest that perhaps the signage changes could have been quietly left to the end of the rugby season?
We’re only talking a month and Andy Mazey’s tweeting this morning has wound up a lot of people who don’t know the full facts.

I’m referring to the ones explained by the Dale board’s statement the other week which gave a full summary.
All these rugby league fans on Twitter are getting stoked up by Andy Mazey and they don’t know what we do.

Hang on Hornets staff were at the stadium on Friday yet the first Hornets heard of the new sign was when it seen this morning?

Something doesn't add up

Isn't it more a case of them just not taking the facts on board?

Yes I noticed that too, calling football club, fans, "faires". Just a petty neanderthal.

Just been reading her Tweets. Thick as mince and does the reasonable Hornets fans no favours.

The back and forth with this is getting quite tiresome, but I will say this...a number of the Hornets fans have always hated the football club and been incredibly petty and spiteful towards us. I used to watch rugby league and made an effort to watch Hornets, but got fed up of the inflammatory language their fans often used about the football club.

That's exactly what he sets out to do. Another big ego wrapped in a small parcel.

What efforts did he take to contact anyone at the club in relation to the sign, or find out anything about it? Why does he try to stir the sh!t on social media at the first opportunity?

He's a toxic tactless clown who needs to realise the damage he is doing to the reputation of his club, with this and other matters. He's enjoying it - or why would he do it?

Part of me is beginning to think the man is a tactical mastermind.

Use social media to whip up a vocal minority, play politics with MPs and sponsors, spin a 'david &
goliath' story... & use that rhetoric to engineer the move we all know he wants away from Rochdale.

The man is clearly shameless, and probably ballsy enough to think he can ride it out.

Admittedly, I think we could've done some bits better / differently, but I can't help thinking we are playing into his hands. We'll probably find out later when Mazey has had a beer and goes on a twitter spree before deleting it with a hangover in the morning.

Some interesting conversations overheard this afternoon in the Flying Horse between Hornets fans. Mazey clearly isn't as popular as he'd have you believe... Steve Kerr even less so.

Just some of the tweets liked by Andy Mazey today (I have screenshots ready in case he 'unlikes' or deletes)...

Despite all of the issues, I haven't seen anything from our board (or its members) commenting on, agreeing with or liking personal attacks against Mazey, Kerr or others. For all that MPs, sponsors or donors might enjoy having their balls massaged by the board of Hornets short term, long term (as business people) their allegiances will be with whoever gives them the most value, either through publicity or financial ROI. A short term PR approach ahead of a rumoured move / rebrand to Manchester isn't a long term strategy; & when the evidence is presented to Tony Lloyd or others they will quickly pivot to a position against Mazey, fighting to keep Rochdale Hornets in Rochdale.

Whilst making short term friends, Mazey may be inadvertently making long term enemies... & if he doesn't publicly denounce comments such as 'football fairies' (that Tony Lloyd fought against from Morton House) then he is as good as condoning them, & should face the relevant RFL consequences.

How do all those people with no connection to Dale or Hornets know the (small) signage was removed with consultation or notification?
