If you want a distraction from our match yesterday, I can highly recommend a bag of popcorn and a venture onto the Hornet's Chairman & CEO twitter accounts.
Its come out that they sacked the old manager (not mutual consent) via a phone call, neither Andy Mazey or Steve Kerr went to their game today, and Andy is now arguing with supporters and sponsors in public.
AM "First I’ve seen or heard of you here in my time at the club by the way? What’s your season ticket number? how many games have you bought a ticket for this year? Do you sponsor a player? @HornetsAll member? Lottery?"
Hornets fan reply "Brought my lad to every home match pal and you’ve said hello to me when I’ve been in the company of a few ex players and sponsors.

I've just seen that - unbelievable. The guy clearly thinks he is bigger than the club.
The last couple of hours will do Mazey & co more damage than anything over the last few weeks related to the football club. Its one thing going against your landlord publicly with 'dubious' versions of events... its a whole other level going at fans and sponsors with threats like that.

Another really bad weekend of results for Hornets and a massive swing in the points differential. Looking at the table the best they look to hope to finish will be 4th or 5th and to do that they will have to beat Crusaders away from home and Keighley at home.

Seems like a very similar situation that played out at Swinton. A group of Swinton fans (allegedly) had to cobble £50k together to buy Andy & co out. Spoke to a Swinton supporting mate of mine recently who’s of the opinion that they took every penny out (& more) that they put in. |  | | |
