I half expect us to try and sign Broadbent & Dorsett permanently, but one thing is for certain - 2022/2023 will be a fully Stockdale squad. Out of everybody in contract for next season only Keohane & Grant are survivors from the BBM era! Malley isn’t good enough imo and as much as I like Keohane, I’d don’t think he’s good enough as a central midfielder. If we’re going to play him further forward then I’d prefer him as a left wing back personally.

Fair enough. It'll be interesting to see how EBJ uses him over the next few weeks, especially when Kelly's back and the manager may have brought in other options in January

I think it's because Ball offers more of a physical presence and playing Brierley alongside a Kelly, Malley or Keohane leaves us looking very lightweight and potentially even vulnerable from set-pieces with a lack of height. That said, I think it's time for Bentley to sacrifice that physicality for a player who can actually control and pass a football because that seems to be something that Ball finds very difficult.
Like Kel alludes to, as with most of the decisions Bentley is having to make at the minute, his hand is being forced by the frankly pathetic squad left to him by Stockdale. |  |

I thought it was interesting that Bentley didn't do the post-match interview. Maybe he gave them the bollocking of a lifetime after the game. We're stuck with most of them for another year.
O'Donnell.... needs to show early season form, and come off his line . Has cost us a few goals recently.
Slicker. Looked assured when he played earlier in the season, but only a kid so will make mistakes.
Kelly. Why 3 keepers when we are skint?
EEL. Never a captain. Not the same as he was when on loan Crikey...here another year after this season.
Graham...has gone from being hopeless to being bang average, and one of our more consistent players.
McNulty Should retire now. Not been good enough for a couple of seasons. That people at the club can't see this is amazing.
Cameron John. Awful passer. God knows why he got a 2 year deal. Hasn't shown anything that makes me understand why we signed him.
Max Taylor. Hasn't played for ages. Again, silly to give him a new deal.
Ben Nelson. Thought he looked ok in brief cameos. Probably hates it here if he can't get a game in front of some who get picked.
Aidy White. This years sick note. was good 10 years ago, but now a liability
Femi Seriki Started with lots of promise. Now seems to have lost confidence.
Keohane: Nowhere near as good as he was. Too slow and always passes like a crab. Any team who plays with a winger will have a field day against him.
Kelly: Curates egg. Good in parts, but makes mistakes especially when he defends. Has a goal in him though.
Ball: Oh dear. Non league standard. Can't keep up with L2 pace. Poor signing. Can score the odd goal mind.
Ethan Brierley : Will be a good player unless playing with an awful midfield ruins his confidence. Probably our only saleable asset.
Connor Malley : Meh. Not seen too much to get excited about. slightly better than some but not by much.
Diagouraga: Could tell he had been a good player earlier in the season. Now looks like a carthorse who has no pace. Should retire gracefully.
Scanlon . Who?
Tulloch . Ditto
Odoh: Looks to be our only player who can run forward with the ball. Until he gets within 30 yards of goal when he becomes hopeless. Really, probably playing well above his level, but our best attacking midfield player, albeit one who can't shoot.
Hendo . Has lost a couple of yards of pace. Impact player from bench now and no more. Doesn't get involved for long spells during games. Can still score the odd goal mind.
Campbell. Sick note Jeez... another year as well !!
Rodney . Only place he can possibly be anywhere near the first team is at centre forward where his pace might cause problems. Never a winger in a million years.
Sinclair. Shows the odd glimpse of talent, but very little impact.
Quigley. Started brightly, but had faded since getting injured. Still not fit imho. We desperately need him to find form but he looks slow.
Lloyd. Hope he is over the long term serious injury he had last season, will be good if he has recovered.
I have tried to be honest with my assessments without being too scathing. Basically; it underlines what many are saying. The squad is very poor and will need open heart surgery in January to give us a chance of staying up. | | | |

After the equivalent of half a full season, I don't think many managers would be in a position where 32%+ of the entire squad is their own... I reckon that would normally take at least one season & 2 transfer windows. The excuse that this isn't his team has been used now for me, & we need to see the players he has brought in running through brick walls now for him to save our league status.
