I live in Ireland, for a company with sites in Czechia, Portugal, Poland, UK and obviously Ireland - already voted (via post) to stay in, of course. A British exit would be absolute chaos. |

Disagree about RNL, I think he's fat AND untalented. Mendez-Laing, playing in his position and with a similar remit has shown miles more since he came, and has worked hard to get into the team. Lazarus stole a wage. |

Good luck to you Milly with the new recruits and good luck to the unfortunate fella who was taken ill. Good to see someone in the town generating a bit of honest work. Myself I had to move away from Dale in the end, but wouldve grabbed this job with both hands had it been on a while ago. |

Great performance from our seamers. Rubbish from the spinners. Plenty on the pitch to work with, but not good enough to make it work. We'll struggle to get much more than that on that. |

For me, the difference is that not so many black players, for whatever reason, are having the long careers and sustaining the longevity at single clubs - this is a direct route into management for a lot. We had Hill, Flitcroft: Beech and BBM will be one day too. Most managers are appointed in-house when they start , you don't get you first managerial job as an unknown (to the chairman) unless you're A-list material (ie JFH).
Is there racism earlier on, within the clubs, that means black players are not cementing their places in their clubs? I can think of loads of black players in our club, but can only think of one, Tony Ford, who grew old and retired here. He incidentally went into management. |

My comments on this post, and other people's on the same theme are constructive in the most. But the fact remains we are looking toothless up front, a look at the Goals Scored column would indicate. I just don't think Hi has the team to score that many at the minute, hence him playing very safe football. Its a measure of how he's changed as a manager, and probably better for it. Like I said, I think some players will be moved on - Rose, because he's fell out with KH by all accounts, Bunney, ashes not good enough, Alessandra because he doesn't fit the style, and RNL because he doesn't fit into his shorts. Looking forward to changes - I think the team needs new blood for us to kick on. |

Things are not clicking going forward at the minute; too many scary big diagonals from our CBs, who haven't got the passing range ala Dawson for that, and we haven't the skill of O' Grady out wide. Not sure if its a tactical problem or a personnel problem. I think Holly's just holding on for January at the minute; will be interested to see if we stick or twist - personally I see RNL, Bunney, Rose and maybe Alessandra all being offloaded. |

Yeh, he mentioned something about changing the side he'd picked five times due to illness, 'personal problems' and suchlike. Would be surprised if Camps was original positioned there, as he looked to struggle sometimes with the positional side. McNulty was constantly pointing out where he should be standing and receiving the ball; it didn't look like they'd worked on that previously.
That said, Camps didn't play badly. |

Consider the effects of bringing on a youngster who then gave the ball away for a goal, and then end up losing on pens.
BBM was brought on to help out Camps in that DM role, from Hill's comments I'm guessing Camps wasn't supposed to play there. He was getting coached all through the game by McNulty, so it made sense to bring someone to be an 'on the field manager' as Hill puts it.
Must be hard for BBM to keep fit for the odd snippet of a game but he's done it and all credit to him. Hills way of showing he's valued. |

Complete rubbish.
I hate the argument that we need to hold these tournaments in diverse environments to grow the sport; typical FIFA bullshit. It is simply money. Money, money, money.
Mark my words, the next thing will be Premier League games outside of England, then franchises worldwide; the rich Qataris/Azeris/Saudis/whoever see sport as a status symbol and will gladly throw their ill-gotten billions around to act out their fantasies in real life. |

I think both Rafferty and Tanser have been overrated on it, Raff definitely. The others seem about right, though Jonny Diba on mine was dogshit (admittedly he might be in real life too).
The game seems much easier than previous editions, as an aside; just about to kick off in the Premier League with Dale after two straight league titles. Won the Champ by about ten points, Rafferty got Player of the Year and Camps got Young Player. Players still want to leave for Champ clubs though. |
