You genuinely think we'll make two signings worth 10 million+.. on top of the 6 million we have already spent?

Ki
Britton
Fer
Cork
Fulton

occupying 2 roles..

Gomis going..

that leaves us with McBurnie and a makeshift Ayew.

Yes, I do.
We've spent £6.5 million on Fer and VDH.
I doubt if Liverpool have paid us in full yet for Joey, so we may have to only pay £6 million net for him, so I can see us spending £10-12 million on our number 1 striker and £3 million of on a back up, bearing in mind we also have Ayew.

We've sold Eder for £4 million, Paloschi for £6 million +, not forgetting Gomis' ridiculous wage bill soon to come off added to a loan fee for Bartley and Grimes and possible sales of Emnes and Ki (possible £8 million in total).

The result would be a net spend of £9 million give or take (although I feel we need a RB too), very much within our finances given the £100 million received from TV money.

Hardly expecting too much.

This probably won't be popular but I don't think we should be spending £14m on Allen when we need to sign two strikers.

I actually think Ki at his best is a better player than Allen although I do concede with Ki that rarely happened last season.

The thing that worried me about Joe during the Euros was that hewas so fired up, I thought he was going to get booked more than he was.
Over a season, I think that aggression would backfire.
Plus as you say, given the choice our biggest weakness is up front not midfield

I don't think we need two strikers but we desperately need one.

I do, I'd prefer Ayew as a third choice back up if we're struggling. I don't think he works as a striker.

Really?? I think he showed last season that it works quite well and is his best suited position for us

I don't think his first touch is good enough and he lacks the positional strength to be a target man.

Plus he works much better when he's arriving a second or two later to the box, rather than already being there.

He looks twice the player upfront than out wide IMO.

The thought of spending £13m for Valencia and £14m for Allen is a really, really scary one. If they came at half that, then maybe ok. But for those premiums, id hope we laughed at the selling clubs

Yes but as I stated earlier, they massively overpaid for him, (general concensus at time).

£15m even a few years ago was worth way more than it is now to clubs.

They massively overpaid us for him then. It's not too much for him now.

Regarding Joey, will he stay or go at L'pool, will he go as a squad player to Man U, or will he be an important player for Swansea?

http://www.liverpool-kop.com/2016/07/joe-allen-manchester-united-move-lfc-transf

And would it be a good PR exercise for our major shareholders to bring him back to Swansea.

isn't he on around £100,000 a week. No way would we pay that to a loanee plus the loan fee which wouldn't be cheap

Gomis rumoured to be on 82K, since when did Middlesbrough get rich.

Gomis wages include a big signing on fee which is why it's so high same as Ayew.
No way would i want us paying £100,000 for Negredo and i doubt the board would pay that

This Valencia rumour rumbles on, and I wonder how a team like West Ham are in a position to value a player who can't get in their side at £15mill. And, do we want to pay £15mill for a player who can't get into the team of a club in our peer group?

£15 million for Valencia is madness .

There's plenty out there better & cheaper than him , I can't see us paying that.

based on £50,000 a week and witha £15m fee you are looking at at least £25m package for an average Striker. Not for me thank you

After watching him for Newcastle last season what makes you think he's worth a punt?
