After watching him for Newcastle last season what makes you think he's worth a punt?

I like the way he leads the line ,strong ,good on the ball ,very good in the air .

He's 21 , so still a bit raw ,got a good goal scoring record , bags of potential .

That ok 👍

Good goal scoring record? He couldn't get in the Newcastle team towards the end of last season.

Are you sure you haven't got this lads name confused with someone else?

He has a very good goal scoring record for a 21 year old .

It's not his fault he played in a Sh!t team last season .

Although they dicked us up on the Tyne .

He may have scored goals in sh!t leagues. He's not anywhere near the type of player we need.

I would rather spend 15M for Baston rather than Sakho or Valencia, which are just about the same type as Ayew.

Would be much happier with Sakho than Valencia, considering they're both touted for the same price. There are better players out their for cheaper, though. We seem to be very eager to line West hams pockets. Both of them are injury prone.

Mitrovic would be a great signing, just the type of player we want, think the recruitment plan is,wait until teams have finalised their squads then if Bony is available No 1 choice with an experienced No 2 striker signed as well,if no Bony,Mitrovic could be our second pick whether in the Newcastle squad or not.We have looked at him before so its not as if we don't know what we are signing, comment has been made on his disciplinary record, not that bad from 31Oct until season end 1 yellow and 1 red,he's a quick learner.

Telegraph saying we are interested in Christian Fuchs for 6.1mill. Certainly an upgrade on Taylor but cant see us spending that much on a 30yr old. Cant see leicester leaving him go either really. Still its nice to see us linked to full backs.

What's the main objective for a centre forward? Apart from staying on the pitch.

Rumors that Hull have activated a clause in Chris Gunter's contract to sign him for 1.1mill. Surely can't be that low, no brainer if it is, deserves chance at higher level, even if he starts as back up.

Maybe another option/style than Ayew, keeping the ball up front, useful headers as we are still weak in set-pieces

If Newcastle want 35 million for Sissoko, imagine what they'll want for Mitrovic. Something he's definitely not worth I'm sure.

Sign a centre half that can head the ball.

I'd want my centre forward to score goals not defend set pieces.

Ayew isn't the answer for me either.

Cant believe and hope it is all paper talk regarding Valencia and Sakho, these are not the type of strikers that we should be looking at.

We need young players who are hungry to come to the premier league and hit the ground running in wanting to show what they are all about.........Haller and Baston are those types of players. The longer it goes on then the more i fear that we will sign someone just for the sake of it in desperation.

As someone said on the other post

If we don't use Ayew as our striker

It makes us TOO OFF BALANCED on one side of the wing

Its either Up front or NO-WHERE

If we can keep Ayew that is HAHA!

I'd be tempted to cash in on him. Only downside with that is I don't trust the board to re invest the money.

Couldn't agree more ,that's one of the reasons why Bony is No1 choice, as City still owe us from his transfer which could be offset against his overall cost.
