New main sponsor revealed tomorrow 19:25 - Jun 18 with 5398 views | Tummer_from_Texas | My friend Jonathan - a reliable source, himself - posted on the Stateside Jacks Facebook page that his source is telling him that Bet East is out. The new main sponsor will be revealed tomorrow along with the kit. Certainly will be interesting to see what Pearlman has come up with.

New main sponsor revealed tomorrow on 20:49 - Jun 18 by londonlisa2001 | I thought it was common knowledge that BetEast had only been a year and had changed. Apologies if not. |
It was... "Swansea City is pleased to announce a new official front of shirt partnership with betting company BETEAST for season 2016-17."

It's better than the old one, so I'd say so. The betting thing is a shame, as is the fact that kids have different logos because of it. However you just have to look across football sponsorship to realise where the sponsors money is.

Money wins. At least it's not Wonga or the like though. There'd be significantly bigger moral objections against the likes of those.

So, it's across football sponsorship so that's OK then? Bear-baiting used to be legal until somebody stood up and said "No".

Unless you want to purposely handicap ourselves in an area where we already struggle to raise revenue why would you refuse a gambling sponsor?
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Lovely. So our front of shirt sponsor targets customers in China encouraging them to bet in a country where betting is illegal. Classy. That's the sort of blue chip I'm sure we were all hoping for.
New main sponsor revealed tomorrow on 21:26 - Jun 19 with 669 views | EasternJack | Pearlman also revealed Letou, as part of the link-up, will launch their 'Goals for Good' programme to aid charities ion the local community. The first part of these plans will seen them donate their corporate hospitality box at the Liberty Stadium to homeless charity Shelter Cymru, while also handing over their season-ticket allocation to Disability Sport Wales. Paul Fox, chief executive of Letou added: "It would be easy as an Asian-facing gaming company to sign the cheque and build awareness through branding. "I was brought up in Glasgow but I have family in Swansea and have always had a soft spot for them, so it is a privilege to be involved with a team I have a soft spot for. "It is incredibly important to give back to the community, we don't just want to be a logo on the shirt we want to make a difference in the Swansea area. "We want to do as much as we can to give back to the local community. We hope a wonderful season lies ahead." ------------ Some of you have missed this. Doesn't fit the negative narrative right? So easy to be cynical.

There's nothing like a bit of corporate social responsibility to please the gullible. How's that for cynical? [Post edited 19 Jun 2017 21:33]

Not at all. I was just pointing out it was classy. I don't much care in many ways, but spare me the whole 'the reason we did this is because they are so committed to Swansea charities' bit. They did it because presumably it was the most money on offer. I'd rather the little ones could wear the shirts, but as I say, other than that I don't really mind. I just think the days of us being anything different are a long way behind us which is a shame.

I think I had the "leading international gaming company, Letou" bit in my head at the time Johnny.
