If its just the battery isn't this something you could change yourself. Can't be that difficult I would have thought.

Just check the rating of current battery and replace like for like. Its only going to be max two cables like a car/motorbike or a plug in unit

Good god man no!!! A stairlifts battery is a thing of beauty and must be treated with utmost care and above all RESPECT.

And you need to take the seat and cover off to get to it.

They do it on purpose so they can charge £140 to do it, a set of batteries costs £27 the rest is 20 mins max labour £113.

No reason why they can't put the battery in a easy position so people who have forked out £5000
for a stair lift can change the battery themselves except they want to screw the disabled customer
some more every 3 years.
