Now in vogue and on the increase, a word used by people who in reality haven't got a clue when asked a question. I hate this word with a vengeance and cringe when people use it, often to appear more intelligent than they actually are. Also a favourite reply of bullshitters.

Almost as bad as those who start every sentence with the word "so".

Hate the words "it's a lottery, essentially and relationship"

Jackportis the brand. “A gifted poster”, “planet swans have a real talent on their hands in the name of Jackportis” sky sports 2018. . JP fully supports posters of LBG, mx orientation and ethnic minority groups. Update - now fully supporting the pansexual community.

"Absolutely" is a word taught to these small-time apparatchiks in local government, education (especially parachuted-in academy headteachers), the health service and so on. You are right, it is becoming more common. If you take a complaint, or a suggestion or a request to them, usually requiring some of their time or money, they nod approvingly and say 'absolutely' every time you finish a sentence, then do the opposite a week later. When you haul them up for this, they deny ever agreeing to anything you said because 'absolutely is a 'non-approval approval'. These people never put anything in writing either. They are dangerous.

So, we are where we are in the absolutely space and going forward we'll need to look at service levels and the end to end customer journey while also considering efficiencies in the operational space. Ok? Absolutely.

You'll need to build a robust business case for that and it should be accompanied through the required change approvals process by a full impact assessment and costs benefits analysis.
