Thank-you for this. Fede was a beauty, a team guy, unsung. Mawson didn't have that in him. AM had a bit of a rocket ride up the leagues and started to believe the hype. He hit his ceiling pretty quickly. Not a guy to build a team around or with.

I live just northwest of Seattle (Vancouver Island).... yes cool and wet. Snow and below freezing is rare. I'm sure JM would be just fine with the weather.

Except, of course, for beautifully setting up Llorente (#5 v. Crystal Palace) and Mawson (v. Leicester City). Completely unsung, he was.

Sorry for the downvote... slip of the thumb. I agree... he should be a massive help while he remains with Swansea.

Sorry! Missed that thread.

Thanks. He was my coach for a spell in the 1980s. Nice man.

Really unfortunate post.... I'm hoping we're all better than this type of "fun" at others' expense. Most of you are ridiculously funny when not being hurtful.

Who is the most famous person you have met?
at 04:23 5 Mar 2018

My teammates and I were waiting for a flight from St. Louis to Detroit when we noticed a rather hirsute man in a Damn Yankees tour jacket. And I quote, "Hey, are you Ted Nugent?" "24 hours a day, man."

13th is the predicted finish for Swans. I'd take that... top ten would be great, though!

He did show an unwillingness/inability to hustle while tracking back which has been ridiculously consistent during his time with the club. What made it absolutely borderline for the ref was that Fer didn't even work hard enough to make a play for the ball. A red? No. A yellow? Yes. Lazy? Beyond a doubt.

Ok then.... but how does he stand out for criticism relative to almost every other player this season? He’s middle of the pack at worst. Thanks for the information, though.

Who, ultimately, was responsible for signing the majority of the "gutless" team and the merry-go-round of managers? Who went behind the back of other shareholders to sell the team? Who wouldn't find the $$ to sign Joe Allen but found the $$ to sign Clucas (no offense to him... doing his best). For all the good he has done this club, his time of being effective in his role appears to be done. No defence needed, he did great before... now he doesn't. I'd love a change.

If Martin Olsson is the kind of player we're going to sign...
at 06:19 19 Dec 2017

I think you're a bit off base here... 1) Despite the poor marking, it was not a penalty 2) He played a important part of keeping the team up last season 3) There are many players who've had lesser seasons than MO so far so have a go at them.

That said, MO has not shown what he did last year. Most concerning though, to restate the obvious, is that HJ is past it but majority ownership isn't doing anything about it. HJ just can't run a Premiership club anymore.... Poor decisions/timing on sales; poor signings and resignings etc. The momentum (and thrill) is gone... so who would choose to come here unless the money was ridiculous -- which it won't, can't and shouldn't be.
