Newport Marathon
at 12:39 2 May 2018

Definitely, Phil. I'm running all nine for Macmillan, so will always be in the green top. I'm doing - Builth, Edinburgh, Swansea, Tenby Port Talbot, Severn Bridge, Great North Run, Cardiff and to finish I'm doing a 10 miler in York. Making Edinburgh, Newcastle and York city break weekends too, so it then doesn't seem as daunting and takes the focus off the runs a bit

Newport Marathon
at 12:35 2 May 2018

Definitely helps me. I've been my own worst enemy in the past and committed to events when I've been on a high. A killer then when the lows kick in where motivation and energy go missing for weeks. Does nothing for the personal well being permanently jibbing events and selling places. But the last few months have been different. I'm nigh on teetotal and am now vegetarian too. Makes a hell of a difference not permanently running off last nights beer.

My mum isn't too clever, and is in the early stages of dementia, so instead of turning to the bottle I'm running instead. So to say it's keeping me sane at the moment is an understatement. Plus, I know I can manage the training and the half marathons themselves at the moment. I'm about 2 stone lighter now than when I ran London in 2013. I saw a picture last week of me at the finish line, f*ck knows how I managed to stay alive, let alone finish

I'm running nine half's between now and mid October. Depending on how my body holds out I'm going to try another marathon next year - hopefully London, if not Brighton or Manchester. I swore I wouldn't do another one, but next year is a bit of a family milestone, so it would be fitting to give it one more go

Drugs map of Britain BBC1 last night - Swansea heroin
at 12:28 23 Feb 2018

Amazing assumptions on here. What turns the casual drinker into a regular drinker into a dependant drinker into an alcoholic? What switch in the head gets flicked? Does anyone know? Do we all simply assume that alcoholics just love to get rubbered for the sake of it? Likewise drug addicts? From weed to heroin is a hell of a journey. Again, do we know why the individual does it? Peer pressure? Boredom? Addictive personality? Depression? Abuse? Escapism?

Nah, all addicts are just pissheads and junkies, getting smashed out of their brains for fun, and not to escape or avoid serious underlying issues. Well according to the f*cking experts on here they are anyway.

Best one I heard was "They say blood is thicker than water. Sadly my brother is thicker than both" - the groom about his best man brother

Hell of an achievement mate. Genuine respect for that. I'm back running after 4 years, but could never do an Ironman
