Some more stats, this time on how many points you actually need in each year the 20 club Prem was formed.

Stadium Expansion
at 19:26 4 Dec 2015

Fact - go down and committing us to £50m of debt will take us back to the dark days, so I’m with Huw on this one.

Bums on seats are a just a small proportion of the club’s income these days, and if results continue as they are on the pitch I’d rather spend a third of that in the January window, as next year the TV money rockets, so it’s essential imho that any available cash should spent should be on the field of play.

The Council will just have to wait, or if they have any financial nous offer a decent and long term repayment scheme. Well after all, how much have the Swans injected into the local economy in the last 5 years? £100m?

So we made a £1.7m since the accounts were last released, but only because we got more than expected in sending Wilf to sit on the subs bench at Man City.

Games managed in the Prem = 74
Won = 28
Drawn = 16
Lost = 30
Any Chairman of a club outside of the top 6 in the UK would be happy with that. It’s an absurd suggestion to sack him. I think some people forget too easily that we are not an Arsenal, Manchester United etc..

Swans only club out of 227 in UK to decline price of football survey
at 21:08 15 Oct 2015

What about the price of parking anywhere near some Prem grounds, especially in London? Now that’s what I call a rip off! We not only have on street parking within walking distance of the ground, but also lots of enterprising small business, clubs and schools etc that charge £3-5 to leave your motor for the match.

And the train station walk is what for away fans? 20 mins at a brisk pace, 30 mins at an amble?

Add to that the fact that there is a ‘safe’ away drinking facility just yards from the Stadium as a free added convenience/bonus.

And while I’m ranting on, if you look at Kidderminster Harriers then they stand out as having the most expensive pie at £4.50. What a stupid thing to highlight, given they have the best football food I’ve tasted on the planet.

In essence, the criteria used for this survey is nonsense, so well done to the club in making their views about that.

Best chant of the season

He’s one of your own, he’s one of your own, Harry Kane, he’s one of your own.

p.s. no ‘Sweet Chariot’ stuff from the oppo like at Southampton last time :-)

Thanks for clearing that up Phil.

If there is any ‘protest’ it will probably be from Swansea based Man U. fans - complaining that they had to fork out forty five quid for their annual visit to the Liberty a few weeks ago...

Oh, a demo , but it’s news to me that fans of ALL 20 clubs will take part in it, given it costs us £21.90 for a home seat and £22 for an away one.

Shelvey Tonight

Interesting to see him play that deep - way, way back from his normal role. Hard to tell if that would be effective for Monk to try out as the likes of Wrexham or Merthyr would probably have beaten San Marino last night.

However, if he plays well in that position again against Switzerland it may be worth an experiment, especially when sides drop back and park the bus at the Liberty.

Only 12th in the Prem. Tsk. . :-)

That’s our lowest league position for quite a while. Get a grip Garry!

While I’m on then the No 9 shirt is all but free, so why not give it to Tremmel?

Swans Trust Board Elections 2015
at 21:34 4 Jul 2015

FFS, how can you properly summarise your time spent in office in order to get re-elected, or put forward reasons why you should join in just 100 words?

Who made that rule up? A good job Sir Huw doesn’t use the same criteria in selecting new (or sacking old) employees.

Why don't you change the rules so that the number of Board Members is not a fixed number? Now we're in the Prem the Trust may want to consider running a bigger squad.

Simple solution to this. Tickets to not be included in the travel package.

If you qualify for a ticket then buy it first and take it with you.

No argument then, see?

The season had started, so that counts.

And the Cherries should be top now are they are officially ‘AFC Bournemouth’!

Who knows for sure? What I do know is that if you ran a similar poll on a forum for the following list of clubs like us (i.e. those outside the ‘Big 7’ but in the ‘we can push you Big 7’) you would most probably get a similar breakdown.

Soton
Stoke
Hammers
Villa
Sunderland
West Brom

Early season optimism init? :-)

I just hope that next season can be as good as the one we had last time. Apart from Arsenal and us which other club spent the whole season in the top nine positions?

Disappointing news about my next plastic card :-(

Anyway, has anyone noticed that the GWFK logo on last season’s shirt was copper so it looks even better now ‘cos it matches.

Commercial brilliance. At this rate we’ll be higher than 27th next season in that survey :-)

Two words - awesome production.

I know this is just marketing crap as opposed to results on the pitch, but marketing in the Promised Land is something we are still learning the ropes of, so this is another small step towards challenging teams that have been selling their off the field ‘product’ for years (the so called “Big Six”) so it will be interesting to see how their kit launch vids compare to ours. Anyone got any links?

While I’m on here, I’ve had a peek at my 3 different ST cards since they got rid of the books and each season they have got worse. So a quick grovel from me to whoever is in charge of this stuff at the club along the lines of can we have a nice shiny copper colourer card this season please?

The clue is at the top of page 1, then you kind of just look right a bit and you see the name.

I’m getting the hang of this forum me.

You’d be lucky to get a couple for the Cup Final as each team only gets 25,000. Take out 16,000 ST holders, the corporate people, sponsors, club staff, stadium owners, plus all the players and their families and you are left with....

...not a lot.
