Anyone else?? Missing a trick
at 12:05 10 Jul 2017

Just a little concerned by our transfer policy and why the hell we are not looking to bleed in some of our youth. The Under 23's had a fantastic season with McBurnie the shining light but yet there is no hint of him or any of that players in this squad making the first team.

Signing Tammy I feel is a massive kick in the teeth if we are still looking to bring in Strikers. I would love to see McBurnie get his chance and honestly think he could be the next big thing. I also think the likes of Tyler Reid should be considered to replace Naughton at RB.

Just a real shame that we are investing money into our academy but not bringing the players into the first team. Anyone else have a view on this?

Transfer Targets
at 10:46 30 May 2017

About time we added some real quality to our side with many falling short and some key areas needed for improvement. Limited budget as always but feel that a few will be shipped out this season with hopefully KI and Montero being the first to take the big boot!!. Below is the players who I think could make the difference and within our budget.

Allan Saint-Maximin (LW) (Monaco) - spent last season on loan at SC Bastia and played his part but didn't hit the heights people were expecting. Saying that though this guy is in the France Youth set up and his raw pace is frightening. Very direct runner and has a few tricks up his sleeve. He does have a lot to work on but under the right coach AKA Clement I think he will be the next superstar from France. Cant see him getting a chance in the current first team at Monaco if they hold to there current crop of players but would really add something to our team. Possible loan deal

Ruben Semendo (CB) (Sporting Lisbon) - At 22 this guy is really showing the makings of a world class centre half. Strong physical presence with pace to burn. A lot of teams sniffing around but would show some real intent if we were to snap him up. Transfer fee could be around 12 to 15 mil but wages would be well within budget with the Portuguese league not paying out mass wages. If people are raving about Mawson then this lad would really get the crowd on there feet.

Kelechi Iheanacho (STR) (Man City) - Don't think I need to say much about this guy. Goals to game ratios are fantastic and for me I think he is on par with Rashford. I think Man city would be keen to see him loaned out to another Prem team and playing first team football as he is too much of a gamble to be a first team player with Man City currently. Loan deal would be on the cards and reminds me of when Lukaku went to West Brom to prove a point!!

Timothy Fosu-Mensah (CM) (Man Utd) - Again Loan deal but with a point to prove. This guy is discipline in the holding midfield role and has that bit of class. Different league to the likes of Cork and would add some steel to our backline. Think United would be keen on a loan deal too and should be a priority for the Swans

Luis Pedro Cavanda (RB) (Galatasaray) - Serious upgrade on current Right backs and good at getting forward. He is built like a tank and is not short of pace. For me I believe he can sometimes lack a bit of concentration but reliable for the majority of the time. I also think we could get him on the cheap

Could go on and on with targets but I think these players would fit in with our current wages structure and are realistic. Each player would be an upgrade and bot just adding squad players like people have mention

Semedo is the class we need!!

This guy is one hell of a player, quick, strong and good ball player. Southampton scouting system is impeccable and this is the targets we need to be going for. At 12 million this guy is a bargain!!!

Alan Curtis needs to go!!
at 16:09 3 Jan 2017

I cant be the only one thinking this. Time for a complete change and giving the new manager complete control to bring in his ideas. The Swansea way has gone and it wont be coming back which is disappointing but its the facts. I just think Alan Curtis still being there and bringing up how it use to be etc is not doing any manager any favours. Anyone else have a view on this?

Lets cash in on Ash!!
at 10:15 9 Aug 2016

Yes he has been a fantastic player for us but we need to move on. He is a player who I feel will not be motivated for the season if we don't let him go. Every season he gets linked with clubs and the first couple of games he always seems way off the pace.

He is very talented and in my eyes still one of the best defenders In the league but being our captain the lack of motivation will run throughout the team. I am confident Amat can be a good defender for us and I personally would like to see Tom Lees from Sheffield Wednesday brought in as back up. I think British defenders just tend to show a bit more guts when games are getting tough.

What has happened to the passionate jack army??
at 09:37 26 Apr 2016

Well yet again we were let down by our side and in particular Ash Williams. Saying this that doesn't give us a reason not to get behind the team and play our part. I was at the game on the weekend and I regularly travel to watch the Swans but the fans are slowly getting less and less passionate. The expectation that we are better than we actually are seems to be the chip on many of the fans shoulders. I am not sure that it is the increase of new fans but if that's the case we still have a hardcore following of away supporters and you lot should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves. People seem to forget that the whole successful Swansea era was built on passion and determination. We never had world beaters in our team but everyone played for each other and gave 110%. This includes the fans creating the atmosphere which made the Liberty a fortress and the praise we had for our fantastic support from numerous away fans. Our Promotion season and the first season we went up is really the last time we actually stood as one of the best supporters in the football leagues, each season from there is has got progressively worse. Yes, I understand the team are not performing and we have seriously been a victim of the riches of the prem league by bringing in journey men looking for a pay day with no balls, or mental steel but come on!!! Leicester fans were exceptional and not once did we really give them some banter back or just have a laugh, Jesus why even bother going to the game? Honestly though Swansea Fans we give the whole story of the Swansea way disappearing etc, have a serious look at yourselves and get behind the team.

Eder the backup striker
at 11:47 6 Oct 2015

Is it me or is this a position we always struggle with?

I think the season we had Bony and Gomis was our best in many years if Gomis would of accepted he was back up and just got on with it. I feel this is our biggest downfall this season as we have given into Gomis a bit and feel that because he has pretty much demanded he will not be second string to anyone we have brought in a player like Eder who for me is not first team quality.

I just fail to see why we always struggle with this and maybe it’s down to us only playing one up front and failure to keep the second striker happy rather than just stating if he isn’t good enough to be first choice he needs to knuckle down and push his way into the team. Also might stop the first choice striker becoming complacent as we have seen nearly every year with strikers such as Graham and Gomis.
Hardly suprising when you have backup in the form of Emnes, Vasquez,Ngog,Lita etc
