Gaffer on tonight's win on 23:19 - Dec 9 by BrianMcCarthy
I agree with him that we were ambitious in the second half, and even after the equaliser.
We pushed up more and more as the game went on (something I wasn't sure we'd do with Cook in the team) and in the last 15-20 we really went for it.
It didn't guarantee possession or position, as we lost the ball quite a bit, but I liked that we tried it anyway.
And it was lovely that such ambition paid off.
Yes felt there wasn’t a lot in it first half, but felt we were much the better side second half and a more confident Kone buries that chance and the game is over. But delighted we came again after conceding so late and got our just desserts

JS commented that 'we won the game physically'. Elsewhere, I read that the Birmingham manager also thought that we were 'physical' and that we were a team of big players. OK, like Smyth, Dembele and Saito?

It's great to see intent in our play. It might not always pay off but if you have that mind set it can only lead to better things. It also helps to set standards
