I watched the last episode of line of duty and thought that was good. Undercover has finally grabbed by attention. I quite like some of the investigative programmes Stacey Dooley does. However I can't wait for the next series of people just do nothing.

Thought it was excellent- Roth was very good. Blair really has turned into a pariah hasn't he?

I don't think any one has mentioned Hell on Wheels yet...

Roth was excellent casting. Blair might yet end up in The Hague, Chilcott finally due to report on 6 July. I wonder what horse trading is currently going on behind the scenes right now?

Most nights at 11pm, ShowBiz TV has screened "Classic Rock Network", hour long programmes each dedicated to a particular artist or band. They have covered a lot of mainstream stuff (The Clash, Elvis Costello) but also the likes of Argent and Focus. Tremendous viewing for an old rocker like me.

I love programmes about survival and the natural world so I'm delighted that "Dual Survival" has returned. The episode where Cody went bonkers and started just messing about was quality but then anyone would go mad with that Joe Teti ranting on in the background about how he can't go a step further without making some sort of fearsome weapon or killing something big and meaty. What's wrong with dandelion roots?

Has anybody been following the series drug maps of Britain. I watched something last night called Scotland's Valium crisis.

Loved the 1st series of The Detectorists. Not so much the 2nd series though.
I know it's not recent, but I didn't see it mentioned. Next up, I'm gonna start the 'On The Buses' box set.

Anyone seen the new Roots? I'd like to watch it as even as a 9 year old I liked the original series?

I watched the Detectorists series back to front, and finding the first series excellent. Great shout.

Saw one episode and loved it. Will definitely catch up on this when I can. It's the kind of quirky, gentle-but-sharp humour that England does so well.

Isn't this about 2 blokes who regularly meet in a field with their metal detectors and one them is living with a girlfriend. That said his life is so exciting that he gives lectures in a hall on topics like Saxon coins.

Trying series one at the moment, though struggling with Mrs Bell's English accent and the fact that Colm Meaney was in the Alan Partridge film when he's supposed to be an evil capitalist. I can't believe they took it to four series, the railway only took three years.

Hmm, maybe you were forewarned on Dominique. I had no idea until a colleague of mine told me she went to school with her in Dublin, and I was rather shocked and would never have guessed that she was Irish from her accent.

Your second point; well that's called acting...

As for the timing, it's got a long way to go to catch up with MASH which spun a three year war into 11.

All that aside, I can tell you that, in my opinion, series 2 of Hell... gets a bit too soapy, and episodic. But the tale gets good again in 3 and into 4 where I am now about 4 eps in. And Bohanon has still only done two winters so the time span isn't too bad.

Edit: And don't forget Bart has been 10 for 27 years and celebrated a number of different Christmases in his 11th year...

Edit 2: I don't disagree that sometimes actors' previous form makes the suspension of disbelief tricky. I've never managed to watch Sixth Sense as I just can't believe Bruce as a trained doctor, of any kind. And as for being camped up after D-Day and Tom Hanks turning up to lead us against the Hun..? That's where Saving Private Ryan went off for me...

My wife spotted her as the creepy Mrs Conway in House of Cards, with a wobbly not-always-British accent. She's got better at it since HOW, where it wanders all over the place. Lovely to look at, though.

I can't concentrate on Colm Meaney without seeing Steve Coogan grinning nervously out of the bottom of a chemical toilet. Alpha Papa is brilliant, if you haven't seen it.

Oh yeh. Seen it a couple of times, very good indeed.

Spoiler Alert!!!!!! (For any one who hasn't)

Every time I think about it, I laugh - almost out loud - at the thought of Michael jumping off the pier, and everyone completely baffled as to why...

Was thinking of resurrecting this thread myself this morning, after watching the fourth episode of the latest series of Man Down.

Hilarious in parts.

Baron Noir, Baron Noir, Baron Noir. French House of Cards, but much better than that. Amazon Prime. Try it, you won't regret it.

This series of Ray Donovan is excellent. It's building towards a massive showdown very neatly.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end
