Straight back on the train and then straight to work.Sitting in a lay-by in rainy stoke on Trent. I did see a roadsign that made me laugh though.It said cultural quarter.As If Stoke would have any culture to put in it.
I went home to Greenford and stopped by North Greenford United ground to watch St Panteleimon beat Park Vale 4-2 to remain unbeaten and 10 points clear at the top of Spartan South Midlands Division 1.
Yes, it was with me for over 16 years. There's a celebration of its life at St Paul's Cathedral in a few months. You're welcome to come. There will be sandwiches (obviously they'll be a bit warm).
Spent a fine day at the All Stars function at Croke Park, Dublin.
Four Cork players from the Minor team I help coach were receiving All-Stars (best player in the Country in their position) and one of them, Conor Corbett, was voted Footballer of the Year.

Got my racing bike out, put it on my rollers and pedalled manically for half an hour to try to get rid of my frustration at our result.

Missed the game due to having to work and the early kick off. Popped into the conningham for one on my way home, got a bit involved as you do, and one turned into eight or so pints and a few shots.
In a similar vein, I decided to walk the four miles home, to feel I had achieved something with my day. Along the way, I pondered why Romaine Sawyer’s parents had named him after a lettuce. I then tried to come up with a Fruit & Veg XI. After a flying start - George Berry, David Peach, Simon Cox, King Edward Sheringham - I got bogged down on the goalkeeper.
Got home and picked up the dogturds in the back garden. On a roll, I peeled the compacted dogpoo bags off the bottom of my wheely bins. Enjoyed these tasks about as much as the game.
I was in Bruges so after spending the morning asking around to find somewhere actually showing the game, I spent the rest of the day drowning my sorrows which isn't difficult to do with the strength of the beers in Belgium!
Sadly not, and not hooked up to my electric car either. All that wasted energy! My solar panels did still kick in and save some CO2 in spite of the rubbish weather, though.
