So you think we should strive to be like the old Soviet USSR which financially collapsed with millions in poverty and China who have one of the most oppressive regimes of developed nations then?

You aren’t selling it to me.

Any other examples?

Femi making it clear that the ‘black lives matter’ movement is something that all decent people will support.

The BLM organisation is different in the same sense that the Conservative party is different to ‘conservative’ values.

Bottom line is our players are standing by their team mates and its a very positive thing to do.
Keep it up lads 🙏🏿.

Femi doesn’t sound like he knows his subject matter.

Unfortunately like most of the people involved in it.

I suppose these black Americans and the droves like them saying the same thing are also racists?

Such a stupid, lazy and ill thought out point of view.

I'm not trying to sell anything just pointing out to you the rubbish you are spouting, there is innovation from communist, socialist countries.

You have pointed out one irrelevant area in the failure of the USSR, an area that had very little to do with public innovation. The incentive for the Russian Government to win the space race was to bring in more money to its failing economy due to the lack of innovation, entrepreneurship and productivity within the country due to socialism. In short, it didn’t work and financially collapsed.

It’s a very poor example. But to be fair, there literally aren’t any good ones.

There is a reason for that.

There were plenty of innovation especially in the way the people-that's the masses to you, were surveilled. Brilliant stuff. Wonderful space science too although not so good at building cars.

People escaped FROM the socialist east not TO it .Not socialist I hear you say? It was exactly that,I say. Collective ownership = equality. Nope

Russia having the expertise to win the space race is not irrelevant in showing that countries like that have innovation.

I will boo everytime it gets done until it stops.

Sky and the FA know what they are doing, they know fans don’t like it, they know there are other better options (like linking arms) but this will continue because this is how the left wing world is becoming and accepting.

The players I feel sorry for because they can’t stop now otherwise they’ll be hunted down as racists, this is the problem we have, we have to bow down to this crap otherwise we are racist.

Is racism in football really as bad as they make out? Apart from the odd thing shouted by the odd drunk person, it really isn’t happening.

Yes it is, because they financially collapsed due to the lack of it.

A country of 200m doesn’t automatically have sufficient innovation amongst its populace because they won the space race in a minute employment sector in which innovation was driven because the country was failing due to a wider lack of it.

I’m afraid what you are trying to suggest just isn’t stacking up.

Socialism and communism fail everywhere and there are no good examples in which any sane individual would want to swap a capitalist system for it. As an earlier poster quite rightly said, people flee from communist states, there is no queue to get into them.

I have shown there is innovation in communist states you are trying to say there is none and that is not true.

No, a lack of incentive and innovation is why they fail, I didn’t say there wasn’t any at all. I said not enough. Massive difference there.

You pointed out a tiny sector where they were forced to succeed once, due to the country as a whole lacking the innovation and productivity to support itself. Even the innovation shown in that tiny sector you pointed out wasn’t enough to save the country from failing due to a lack of it in the wider 200m populace. That’s what happens in communist states.

It’s proof that there is some, but also proof that there isn’t enough... hence they fail.

Which is what I said.

Linguist experts question the FA on ther ban on Cavani for calling his friend
"my little black buddy" in Spanish. The FA is clearly racially discrimiating against Spanish speakers.

I would love to see Cavani at his English re eduction course.

He must have used the word negra or negro dependent on which Spanish area he is from. Here in the south it would be, Mi poco negro amigo. Some Spanish change the term to suit, Mi pocito, poco, or whatever, here it’s a lot of slang language. Or a change on the word for black. It’s a bit hard to get used to at first but it’s the language. So, there’s no issue.

The innovation you talk about is there but not for any good reason. The Russians simply wanted to beat the Americans so they could say Communism is better. The technology it spawned was then used to build a massive military machine that haunted the world for decades.

The innovation wasn't used for anything good. It was used to threaten, to keep the people in line and to keep the people whi ran the system firmly in charge.

China is the same. It has massive innovation but it is being used to further China's political aims, to spread it's talons and dig them into other countries. Look at the massive poverty in China where there is also massive wealth. The wealth is used to dominate, to build another massive military machine to back up the ruling elites principles. Just like in the USSR the ruling elite live in the lap of luxury, they and their friends, while the majority live in subjugation.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Nobody has said there is no innovation in communist states, Trampie has created that strawman argument himself.

What was said was they fail due to lack of innovation. That doesn’t mean there aren’t examples of some innovation within the failing model, just clearly nowhere near enough as there is very little incentive to do so. When there is incentive to do so, it usually comes from Government as a way to bring money into the country as productivity has dropped off a cliff on other sectors and they are running out of money.

It’s an utter disaster and you don’t need to look too far to see that or figure out why.

As you say, the only winners in socialist states are the Government. I’m sure Kim Jong Un loves it for example, while the majority of the population find their next meal in a nearby skip. I shake my head in disbelief every time I hear a kid slate capitalism.

They wouldn’t last 5 minutes before wanting to switch back.

The first man in space was subsequently banned from space flight as he became far too popular a figure and was taking the limelight away from the soviet leaders. He was then killed in mysterious circumstances a few years later. A fate assigned to many who become too popular in communist countries.

As a white middle aged man I don’t think it’s up to me to dictate how Black footballers and their work colleagues wish to make a point against the racism that exists both in society and football. I certainly don’t think it appropriate to boo players making a point until they make their point in a way that I agree with.

Racism in football is not what it was. It’s not your banana throwing, racist chanting idiots from the 70’s and 80’s but is now more prevalent online. If you don’t think it’s that bad, I would suggest that you start googling Zaha, Sterling, Bayo and others to read their comments and see the abuse they have received. It’s enlightening. Social media companies seem to have little interest in doing much about it.

Stand back from left or right wing politics, do some research and try and accept it as what it is. A protest against racism.

A protest? Against who? In the USA it was the police. Is it a protest against the fans.? Some of them do not like it. A protest against Twitter? Why is the FA encourging the playerrs to protest at the behaviour of their customers?

I think it is a message from the FA of England to the fans carried out by the players voluntarily. The message has been lost becuase the lower quality media present it as the message of the BLM still.

You may be right but isn’t there a right of counter protest in this country? If one group is able to protest as much as they want about something surely people of the opposing point of view should be allowed to shout “boo” and blow horns even if they are probably a bunch of dickheads? There’s nothing wrong with peaceful protest, our country is built on it.

BLM is a protest. The FA "stand" is simply sending a "message" to the fans. It is not a protest.

Didn’t say that there isn’t a right of counter protest though. As long as people don’t break any laws people can protest.

However as someone that hasn’t had to live with racial prejudice and/or abuse I don’t think that it is appropriate for me to tell Black people and their work colleagues how they should protest; as long as it isn’t against the law which taking a knee before a game clearly is not.

Do I think that the honking horns etc outside the ground is inappropriate and disrespectful to our players? Do I think that the people involved are really sad individuals?

What do you think?
