Our heating broke down on Xmas eve and wont be fixed until 4 January. I am looking to be in whichever room that we have the portable radiators in. Happy New Year indeed.

I've developed a routine where I stick my head out the back window for a bit then go over and do the same at the front window. Anecdotal evidence suggests it's equivalent to a 20 minute walk but more efficient.
I'll probably intersplice a couple of those sessions by rotating between the living room and Man Town - a 5ft by 3 ft alcove carved into the hallway very much like the Great Australian Bight.
So quite busy overall. Might have a quiet day in tomorrow.

I'm playing in the front room for my 5 year old daughter an exclusive set of all her Disney favourites.
After that my 7 year old daughter has requested a pop mega mix, then my wife wants 60 mins of funk and soul rarities.
Afterwards my wife and I will then spend the rest of the evening trying to catch our children so we can then take them to bed.
Once the 'going to bed' saga has finished we will head downstairs, collapsed on the couch, wait for the fireworks to begin and then go back upstairs and attempt to put our kids back to sleep for the next hour or so.

Cooking a couple of ribeyes on the cast iron with some blackened scallops, as well. Going to be weird in New York City with nothing happening, so my partner and I will probably find some TV show or movie to watch, which has been a nightly activity now.
