There might have been contact with BFC however this bid can’t be too far advanced - one of the first things a bidder needs to do is speak to VB and that seemingly hasn’t yet happened even though he returned from holiday a week ago | |

On the basis VB returned from holiday last Sunday and this bid hasn’t yet spoken to him / Kaspars or so far as I am aware CC they can’t have got very far yet on due diligence
It also doesn’t say there’s a deal in principle with Owen
Unless they have £28m to pay VB off AND money to meet Owen’s expectations can’t see this getting very far to be honest | |

It`s funny how some are prepared to disregard, or at least show indifference, to ex-players who are seen as sporting icons because of an association with a football club that they support.
However Paul Stewart`s business dealings are very questionable- an advertising company he (and his wife) were involved in went into liquidation owing close to £1m, yet his possible involvement (however tenuous) with BFC is heralded as good news by some.
Not trying to be critical of people`s posts, but it does throw up an interesting question of why we give ex-players like Stewart continued respect in spite of him being totally unscrupulous in business... | | | |
