Coronavirus / Tourists / Holidays 20:21 - Jul 14 with 167 viewsspell_chekker

I've recently been on my holidays.

OBSERVATION

People on holiday have had enough and let their guard down.

They don't respect any form of social distancing.

Zilch.

Open season for people from all regions to spread it around and infect others.

Second wave, and hence another lockdown, to begin in September / October.

Sure and certain.

Disappointing to hear that, spell; hope your holiday was good in spite of it.

I get a lot of feedback from family who work in the NHS, and the information from the professional people (doctors, radiographers, radiologists) is that they definitely expect further major problems in the Autumn.

Nobody knows for sure I suppose, but these people probably know more than most...

I was in the Dordogne for 10 days.

Very, very few, practically no face masks were worn by tourists.

It was a bit of a shock to arrive back in town where the majority still comply.

I've no doubt that one or two infected will spread it around the regions.

No exageration on my part.

On holiday, people let it hang fast and loose.

Was bound to happen Spell.

No chance you'll see national lockdowns again, economies couldn't take it, also Governments will have had time to prepare, so no excuses second time around.

It'll all come down to finding a vaccine.

On a happier note, hope you had a good time.
